Went out with the .25 Marauder today. I hit one small one and another that was even smaller...by accident. The second one took a bullet for his buddy. He ran in front of his buddy just as I pulled the trigger. He was too small to even bother with. There was one big eastern gray that I took a shot at but he was out on a limb and it bounced just as I shot. I actually shot the branch out from under him and he fell about 40ft and scampered away. After that it became more of a hike. I hiked along the Tieton Irrigation canal. This is undoubtedly an unsung engineering marvel. Without the canal there would be no hops for beer in the US and half as many apples.
