My "springer" time.

I love the springers! I love pretty much anything with a trigger ESPECIALLY air powered since I can enjoy it in the comfort and convenience of my own backyard.

I shoot pretty much all power plants but enjoy the pcp and spring guns the most. I go in waves as to which ones I grab the most. Both have their advantages.

LONG LIVE THE SPRINGER!

I have at least 1 of everything: springers, pumper, couple PCP's and a couple of CO2 pistols for just goofing off but tend to grab a springer 98% of the time and for the same reasons most mention. Grab a rifle, a tin of pellets and go.

I have others but the ones grabbed the most lately from top to bottom, HW95 .22, Beeman R9 .20, Beeman R7 20 and a Beeman R7 .177:

Having observed long ago that the law of diminishing returns is routinely enforced, I'm mostly a Springer shooter and mostly a CW QRP operator. KISS principle is the antidote to inefficiency.

Oh, then wait until I introduce you to FT8! ;)

Actually never worked that mode. I left off with JT65 some years ago. Guns came along and totally ruined radio for me. :)

Kinda felt I've "done it all" with ham radio that I care to anyway.

Worked CW in the Army (05D), so Morse code is kinda a burn-out mode for me.
(getting pretty close to that with airguns. might be time to find a new hobby.)

Meanwhile, I've worked over 100 different modes/methods since my first ticket "way back" in 2005.

But I certainly appreciate KISS. Grab the gun, the ammo, and go. None of that crap spending time to pump poop up before ya go and worry about running out of air.

I've never owned a gun I wouldn't trade/sell. So much pew pew pew to experience, so little time!

I knew there was something I liked about you!

Yes sir, I am one of those Old Crows. DLIWC graduate class of 73, forty years in various aspects of the SIGINT/COMINT game.

You've been shooting some pretty good groups lately.

I spent most my time in the Army either in front of a computer or in a little green box surrounded by antennas. :)

Thanks for the shot-compliment! COVID hasn't helped my business much, but it's given me time to practice!

This year's haul, (i shoot paper so i recycle the lead) about twice what I did last year.

I like the d430 L so much that I bought two. That little rifle is the best shooting Springer out of the box I've ever handled.

I've got an HW98 in .20 that comes in a close third to the 430s.

I have two PCP rifles, a condor SS and a Diana Storm Rider.

But if I was only allowed to keep one rifle I would probably keep the 460 in 22 because it epitomizes the hunting springer rifle for me.
