My own scope cam system, the OrionCam

This will make a great gift for my son whose recently got into deer hunting. I bought him his first rifle in a Remington 7-08, when he was 12 years old. All he’s done up to now is occasionally target shoot at the range and now at 24, he’s become quite the outdoorsy kid. I guess he had to get chasing girls out of his system early, to now truly enjoy the best things in life for a kid his age. He’s going to love recording his hunts with this!

Cant get him into Airguns just yet, though, lol.

Oh, does anyone know off the fly what size SD card is best for the firefly that mounts to the Orion cam?

I got one. and I also have a scopecam system. The Orioncam in my opinion is an awesome system. once we got a few things dialed in it has worked with no issue for me. the one big thing is the scope must be as close to optical center as possible. if this causes you to need adjustable scope mounts you got to get them. I run mine on my fx impact mk2 and working on getting it dialed in to work on my gauntlet with hawke scope. I have even gone as far as making 3d printed cap to keep dust off the lens, for both sides of the Orion cam for when it isn't mounted to my Airguns. More than happy with the Orioncam

Optical center is important depending on the scope, right. I noticed that this can be affected by two parameters on the scopes, eye relief and exit pupil. Quick example, the Helix will have a smaller exit pupil than the Titan, optical centering the scope is more important on the Helix than the Tiran. This will be true for any scope cam, if not center the lens will start to see the borders and this can create shadows on the image.

I want to see if I can restart this project....

If you do, I'd like to see a Shorter length body if it doable. Don't need much, maybe 10mm at the most. I love mine, but I also have to have my forehead touching the cam due to my setup. Granted the PCP don't kick, but the shot cycle after many shots does get annoying with the constant bump in the forehead eyebrow area.

Yes, I know what you mean. I have the same issue.
