My own Cricket .25

Congrats on getting a Cricket. I think you will like it. Is it powertuned?

Mine is shooting 25 gr Air Arms pellets at 975 fps. It just loves those . It shoots the 34 gr ok but the 25's are more accurate in it.

Here is a pic with some extras on it.

The adjustable butt pad is great and makes it shoulder so much better. Also the mag holder works great and I would like to get two more from you if you decide to make some more.

I also have a Veteran long .22 and it is just awesome. So if you make mag holders for it I would be interested in some of those too.

@Randy_68

I think it was originally tuned by Georgia AG. I know it shoots the jsb .25.4 at 950 fps

Regarding the mag holders, I have them for the cricket and the taipan vet and mutant

Hi randy_68 , what kind of moderator do you put on your Cricket? I put a Donnyfl Koi on mine but it doesn't work very well to me. The gun is still producing a sharp barking, despite the moderator and the shroud. Even my FX Boss .30 with a Donnyfl Shogun mod is quieter. This is strange because I get also the .25 Kalibrgun but in the rifle version , same power but without the shroud , only the factory moderator and the noise is much lower , more in the bass tone.. Any explanation/ solution?

Apart from this , the .25 Cricket is a top accurate gun , with the JSB Mark II 33.95 gr.

Yosh,

Congratulations!! You're going to absolutely love your new Cricket! Trust me!
I've wanted the little bullpup for sooo many years.. [Still looking for one at a good price]
Very recently, I lucked out, and got a Mini Carbine from another member on here..
While it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, I Absolutely Love It.
Top notch build quality, amazing accuracy / consistency, and the trigger . . .
Mine is unreal.. It's so light and buttery smooth, just staring at it hard enough will set it off. 😃

👍👍

Sam -

PS: I absolutely love those little Taipan Mutants & Veterans too!
All of the rifles mentioned in this thread were just-built-right! 🙂

Maybe it's just me but I really don't see a need for adding a moderator to a Cricket. I've had two and still currently have a power tuned .25 and I consider them to be back yard friendly. Eric you are going to love that rifle.

I sort of agree that the extra ldc is not needed but it does help. I bought my gun used and it came with the DonnyFL Sumo. Mine does have a little snap to it but probably because I'm shooting the 25's so hot. If I turned them down to 900 or so then it def would not be needed.

Suppression:

IMO, it really depends on people's impression/opinion of what back-yard-friendly or quiet is to them..
Or for examples - living in very close proximity to other neighbors that might take issue,
or in My case - I shoot indoors every day, so the constant 'loud' cracks / echos can get annoying..
I suppress every gun that I have.. mostly .22s, definitely my .25

My cricket mini carbine is noticeably louder than my suppressed Artemis P15, Kral Puncher Breakers, etc.
but, not much louder.. So that said, Kalibrgun did a pretty nice job with their noise reducing shrouds.

Would I chance shooting my un-suppressed Cricket outside in city-limits where it is 'illegal'? Probably not..

Just my $0.02

🙂👍
