My new YouTube channel

Thanks you, guys, these words coming from Joe, Steve and Bob are quite a compliment. I will try not to disappoint and I will keep learning from you and your videos.

MP44 - you are completely right, I am shooting off hand or leaning against farmyard structures and equipment, I am displacing all the time. Either shooting sticks or a fixed position would be a good idea.

A lot of the instability can be removed in editing. ;-)

Take a look at some of my early vids....hard to watch compared to my later ones. What I do now is shorten the time before the shot, and reduce the speed by 50%. Sometimes I will start the clip at the frame before the shot, with a freeze frame that is one or two seconds long.

Hi everyone, sorry for replying so late, I was out of town on a business trip for a couple of days.

Very good tips, Bob, thanks. I already noticed that I have to reduce the time before the shot. The reduction of speed and freeze frame is also a good idea, I will apply it where necessary (which means a lot of footage right now ;) )

BTW, I love that reticle! What scope is that?

Are you using a camera behind the scope? You resolution is good, but the final product might be better if you use more zoom on the camera so it fills the screen more. Notice how my vids don't have the entire scope view....the top and bottom of the view are chopped off from a higher camera zoom.

Which reticle are you referring to, Bob? In the first 3 videos I'm shooting with an Optisan EVX 6-24x50 F1 FFP scope:

Episode 4 is with the Tac Vector Optics Taurus 5-30x56, also FFP:

I am using the Side Shot Smart Phone mount, I find it to be much more convenient than placing a camera behind the eyepiece of the scope. Resolution is pretty standard, YouTube compatible 1080p. My first several videos are shot at 30 fps, Episode 4 is at 60 fps. For my pest control/hunting videos I intend to shoot at 60 fps from now on. My smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy S9 and it's camera and shooting interface offer some pretty good features.

Bob, so far, before taking each shot I was trying to avoid exactly that - chopping off the top and bottom of the view, because I thought viewers would dislike it. Thanks for the tip, man. From now on I will zoom in some more.

You need some shooting sticks, I got motion sickness trying to watch.

A quick response before heading to work @ 4:45 am and I didn't mean to come across so rude. I liked and subscribed. 👍

Not rude at all, I am open to criticism, I actually rely on it :) You guys are way more experienced than me in every way, so I am hoping to learn from you. Like I already said to Joe, my time and resources are limited for the time being, but I hope to gradually catch up. Thank you for the tip and for liking and subscribing :)

I was the first to register, but I'm glad my new AGN friends also registered!

I wish success to the new YouTube channel by hoping for many more videos.

I also expect, besides pest control, to share your opinion on your equipment and your previous chronograph, the Huma regulator, and so on, which would benefit the new in our hobby.

Greetings.

Svilen, thanks a lot, I will try not to disappoint. I would love to make a comparison video of my new chronograph vs my old ones, but I don't have my old ones anymore, so it would make no sense... I sold them before I started the channel. I might make a video of my Air Chrony Mk3 and share my opinion of my previous chronographs in it, but it will not be backed up by any footage of them. At some certain point in the future it may happen, perhaps even with your assistance :) I will try to make better videos reviewing my gear.
