My New Leshiy and can't get EDMU to come on.

Got my new Leshiy today and installed the Huma regulator and did the trigger job. My next issue is I can't get the EDMU to come on. I have watched about half of Ed's 36 minute video on the EDMU where he shows how to open the unit but can't get the cover to pop off. Is my power on issue just a lack of installed battery. This is a picture of the access hole which did not have a cover but does seem to have a little bit of black something in the hole. Bill

Did you get the gun from edgunwest?

I have EDMU's on each of my Matadors. You have to press in the bottom right corner of the EDMU to turn it on. If you feel a click but nothing comes on, then chances are your battery is dead. No worries. You'll need a 5cc syringe which you should be able to pick up from a drug store. Just fill it up with air and put the tip in the hole and press firmly and the cover of the EDMU will pop off. Make sure you point it in a safe direction so you don't lose the faceplate. Then you can access the underside of the circuit board, which you can use a toothpick or fine pick in the notch at the edge of the circuit board. Underneath you'll need to replace the battery, which you can find at any drug store like CVS/Walgreens/Walmart, etc. Once you install the battery, put everything back in reverse.

Yep I pressed the bottom right corner and did not feel or hear a click. Proceeded to press the other corners with nothing either. Could not tell if there is any film of covering over the EDMU like in the video for the unit that Ed was demoing. I got the 2032 battery just need to get access. I did call Brian from who I got the Leshiy but I think he was busy or it was past five California time. Thanks so much for responding and the info. Bill

The original battery on my r5m did not last very long. Mine came with a spare in the box. When I first tried to pick off the cover it started to separate from the backing. Do as NoLand says and puff some air in that hole. I used the nozzle on my shop compressor and it really popped off. It will pop off no problem with the syringe. I replaced the battery with the duracell 2032 that came with it turned right back on and had no issues after that. I’ve had one on my Impact even longer and it has yet to need the battery replaced. Good luck and enjoy that little shooter!

Do we really need the extra aggravation of the smart crap??? Not this 57 year old dude.

I didn't want the new latest greatest electronic gauge on the Leshiy , so I haven't purchased one, although the idea sounds great...but I don't want to learn something new...please just install a mechanical gauge and I would be happy. I can fill and shoot to find where the reg falls off.

And the other thing fix the trigger. ..and then I will be placing my order...I want it really bad.
