I did clean the barrel and took a few shots with just the iron sights, It is very smooth, easy to cock and it is easier to load a pellet then either the TX200 or LGU as the opening is wider. Very ambidextrous FX should take notice!

Yes the loading port is very large which is very nice. The scope that I have on my 97 (really same rifle as the 77) extends well over the loading port. But due to the port being so large, it presents no problems getting my fingers in there to load a pellet. You'll enjoy it!
