Hog Hammer that is. My .308 Texan splits these out at 1010 fps. 143 gr hollow point for 300+ FPE of hog killing delight. This .308 143gr slug is the closest thing I can find to Ranch Dog's 80gr .260 NOE mold. So far I have tested at short range and it is basically 1 hole at 35 yards. 70 yards is the max distance I can shoot here at the house. This mold was made by Accurate Molds and the hollow point by Hollow Point Mold Service.

Nice..what mods does it has that let you shoot at that speed...I mostly use mine for target shooting..

Part of the “mods” is the bearing design of the bullet. Less surface area in contact with the rifling, less friction, less drag and more FPS. I also have heavy spring from Doug, a polished bore, and a carbon fiber tank filled to 3800 psi.

Very similar in style to the Arsenal .311 flat nose gas check in 115 gr. (I think) I bought this mold in a group buy over a year ago and it's the best I've shot through my Texan .308. You're running more heat than me as mine gun has stock internals/tank, but with the exception of the hp the bullet looks very similar. I just picked a 50+ year old Lachmiller hollow point spitzer that shoots very very well out of the .308 too.

Did you notice that is a Ranch Dog design? He knows his stuff. I wanted something in the 150 gr range. Pictured is a Accurate 31-151G. I ask RD if it was one of his and he said it was not. I think these .308's are sensitive to the form factor as much as anything. What are you sizing yours down to?
