My new favorite plinker

Pulled our the Daisy Avanti Gold Medalist model 887 today. Since I don’t have any CO2 around, I decided to fill the tiny reservoir with 1000psi of HPA. Of course, I was careful. Figured it could handle 1000psi since it’s not too far from the compressed pressure of CO2. Tried my best at 10 meters off hand. What a challenging task after shooting my high end PCPs off a rest for so long. I think this will be my new go to gun when I’m plinking with my girls. I was feeling awkward plinking cans at 10 yards with my .25 Cricket while they had their Red Ryder’s. This is a little more suited for the task. What’s your favorite plinker?

HW 55M-Smooth as butter, elegant and a tack driver to boot! Also having fun with my 1322 with red dot and Sheridan blue streak-which was rescued from a trash can, LOL! I have PCPs for the pest control stuff but still break out the Beeman R9 for the occasional rabbit hunt.

Sounds like a winner!!!

My my favorite plinker at 10 yards would probably be a Baikal MP-46M. It’s not cheap but very fun at those ranges with the iron sights. Fantastic trigger too. Another easy one to operate and uses cheap (Winchester Domes) pellets is a HW95 with irons or a peep sight (I have one set up with each). If the kids are shooting BBs then I’ll use my Red Ryder or a Daisy 1200 CO2 BB pistol. Beeman P17s are another good choice for close range plinking too. I guess it just depends on my mood.... I like them all!!!
