The trigger was awesome....liker my Steyrs.

Don't worry! A new stock is on the way.

I got the HP non Rosso edition and the box looked so bad I had the UPS driver wait until I unboxed it. And that was without a hardcastle too !! Someone has to go out of their way to do that kind of damage. Makes you wonder if the case or box it came in doesn't look like it was run over did the dealer check the gun before shipping? The facts don't add up on these stocks being broke. So I want to be a tool and break stocks, which end of the case and how far back? Seems like an inside job with intentional actions to do this to a gun. Just my 2cents.

Hey guys, the red case that it came in only had two small white marks on it. The package had a little bit of a squished end. I think those UPS drivers must do that kind of thing on purpose sometimes. I can't imagine how that package would fall six feet onto its end which would be required for damage like that. The dealer did check it before he sent it and it was fine. Thank God that one has the same stock as the regular Editions or I don't know what I would do. It looks like a Ferrari after you crash it. By the way, I got mine at a new place called Indiana airguns. Maybe check them out on Google, the guy is super cool. I was not worried for one second that he would not be able to make it right, and of course he did. Great guy

Nice gun to say the least. I have also noticed the miss handling of packages. My Hatsan shipped in the outer box only and was so beat up and had missing parts. Thankfully the rifle was ok but the box had clearly been opened and had the accessories box removed and the hap hazardly taped back closed. So frustrating. I know its not my driver as he asked what kind of gun I got and talked about his guns (powder burner guy). I really wonder if this isnt some kind of political anti gun nut bs being carried out at UPS sorting centers? I have not had any troubles with any other carriers.

I suspect you wont get the stock replaced with a like for like then, what you will get is the reversed colour, Rosso=main red, background black, Hilite laminate=main black, background red, unless they have another Rosso on the shelf?

Anyways you will love the gun, I have number 66, I do actually prefer the black/white action of the Hilite to the Rosso action, but the mainly red stock of the Rosso over the Hilite.

All semantics the gun is wonderful to shoot! now if they would only do one in blue I could get rid of my FX Crown!

I cringed when I saw that pic. That really blows. Unfortunately not the first time I have seen it happen to a wooden stock. It still amazes me though, padded hard case within another box and still this can happen. Makes me wonder if those hard cases and foam need to be reevaluated.

Then again, take a look at the thickness of that well where the battery sits. Seems awfully thin.

Sorry for your loss man. Hope it all gets sorted out.

I am in England so I just emailed Daystate and told them my Rosso stock was damaged and I needed a replacement.

I was told categorically there are no more ROSSO stocks, the only option is the non LE laminate stock which as I said is reverse coloured and not as nice IMO, plus as already mentioned it will de-value the gun considerably.

I feel for you on this I really do

OK SO THE PLOT REALLY THICKENS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went into a dealer today in the South of England and guess what? a ROSSO with a broken stock in EXACTLY the same place!

If you look at the stock where the break is, the material removed to take the battery is quite extreme! perhaps this is a generic fault with the stock and not the fault of the courier!
