My new .50 Texan all dressed up and ready to dance

I've been slowly putting the pieces together for my .50 Texan. I received the stock a few days ago and words cannot describe how amazing it is. Pictures don't do it justice. The only thing possibly more amazing than the aesthetics is the ergonomics. The gun feels PERFECT! The attention to detail is incredible, everything from the beautiful lines and contours to the cutouts around the fill nipple and gauge.

Diamond Gun Stocks really outdid themselves. I own two Texans now; the first being a .308 with a MadDog Ultima stock and now the .50 with the Diamond stock. Aside from the beauty of the latter, there is a technical difference that I didn't know about but what an improvement! The bottle clamp (minus the shoulder pad) remains attached and is integrated/screwed into the stock via a genius design. It stabilizes the bottle preventing flex and anchors it to the stock.

The tank bag is just plain elegant and SOOO comfortable! It feels so much better on the cheek than the bottle.

After I put it all together I took a shot with the 350 gr. slugs I have and boy, did the recoil get reduced down from the factory configuration. Between the stability/added weight of the stock plus the muzzle brake the .50 now feels like the .308 with no brake.

I can't say enough about Diamond Gun Stocks and Loren's customer service. When it comes to technical things I'm not as talented as some (i.e. most) in this hobby and I had some questions about the install, the bottle bag, etc. and Loren was very patient and explained very clearly what/how to do it. EXTREMELY helpful and let me tell you, if I can do this anyone can.

I wanted to dress up my Texan and and Loren delivered in spades. I couldn't be happier.

I don't, but I know that their web site is under construction so it's best to use other means. The owner is a member of Airgun Nation though and you can probably contact him through this site. His name is Loren Mock and his handle here is 'Loren'.

I wholeheartedly recommend him and and this is not the first project that he's done for me. He also made a custom camo tank bag for my SCBA tank and a matching camo bottle cover for my .308 Texan. Amazing craftsmanship.
