Hi Oneshot I have an Evanix AR6 hunter it was my first PCP gun ever it is a 22 caliber and It has massive power I just pulled off my data and it shot the 44 grain eugin pellets 1009 fps and 76fpe it only had 2 powers 3/4 in single action or double action had full power power , needless to say this couldn't shoot trusty 18 grains I had to use over 40 grains , I did chrono 1 jsb 19 and it was like 1350 I think it ripped skirt off , but for slugs this is awesome especially with a moderator on it as its power on a enshrouded barrel is loud , I have not shot this in many years , them evanx are power houses

I started to gather some .30 BC information before I sold my EDgun Supermagnum. To keep things simple I adjusted the HST to make all the pellets/slugs shoot at 900 fps at the muzzle. This does not reflect the best velocity or best BC for each projectile. I only had 50 yards to record this info, greater distance would've yielded more accurate results.

HI ju here is a close up of my 30 caliber slugs , if u want other sizes pm me for closeups thanks I use 6 bhn lead for these , so no need for hollow points with this type of lead , still raining for a few days then post data for u guys , what i like is I been using slugs over 10 years I am glad to see people in pcp world finally starting to do this as pellet bc is like .020 to .046 which stinks for long range , and my slugs range from .090 to .240 so bc is actually 6x better meaning they fly farther and are way more stable up to 1200 yards in .30 my personal ,257 can shoot 900 yards this cant be done with a pellet

I really like that gun. Definitely a hunter. My ace 25 is the same way. It takes a heavy bullet as it shoots anything under 40 grains supersonic.

HI ju ok for my airgun slugs I use a bhn tester from lee about $60 usd so where u get ead is up to u , places like zip, roto medals , corbin , sell quality clean soft lead , I use 6bhn for soft slugs and for say heavy powered gun over 250fpe i make lead 9 bhn , I do not use hard lead

I use mny types of molds but most I have made special for my specs for my guns , like the edgun 61 , this is a good weight for my 110 fpe gun ,I make slugs for my 22 royale which I got set at 36fpe I make a 30 grain noe bobs boatail slug for this , and my 25 hatsan which has 68fpe I make a 52 grain slug , I have weights from 28 grain to 180 grain ,I dont do the big bores as my state doesnt allow it so I am ,300 max , id love to do ,308 much more better bullets for this with better BC ,

so the lee tester sits in your reloading press and has like a ball point pen on end of it you put your lead down and hold some pressure for 15 seconds and measure the dent , the places I mentioned sell good soft lead , you can buy at ebay too but its a crap shoot if u get soft lead ,

ohh 1 more thing I am no expert but I have friends who are with making bullets , I have a good friend who is largest manufacturer in world , I make these for me It is my a buisness for me ,

But if you want to dive in and try to do it I can tell you this , you will go threw alot of molds to get a good bullet , 2 measure bores of guns u plan to do , find a good mld builder and make sure u say what end size u want say .254 or what ever and tell hm the type of lead say pure lead 6bhn or if u use wheel weights or 10% tin or what ever as shrinkage is all different

the best mold is exact and doesnt need sizing , but I use slugs for some multible guns so I do make some .002 bigger to resize for different guns

and 1 more tip I made bullets for a long time and I would quench them in water to cool them , this was huge mistake I thought cool them off uick but i was wrong when doing this hardens the lead so 6bhn turns to very hard lead , i dont use hard in airguns but powder burners u want hard lead , so never quench in water

How ever a friend did tell me if you do this and wait 6 months they wil soften like 12 but not back to 6

you want to get many resizer to size your ammo I use lee on my rcbs press , I also like NOE push threw sizers for airguns , they have soo many sizes which we use

I use Corbin swage lube this is best in industry get some a jar lasts a lifetime a drop can lube 100 slugs ,

get a digital scale rcbs, gem, frankfurt are good

as you want to sort ammo by weight , when casting , I believe temps in molds and lead makes them vary up to 1 grain on a 30 vcal slug on a 22 cal mine vary .5 so i package them down to .1 same with my pellets , and I use the heavy and light ones for targets or chrono work

does this help????

Got these on the way to test in my rainstorm .30. It a 66 grain boat tail hollow point. My friend Rick Morrill made them up from a mold we bought and had sent to Eric. He shot it today out of his Evanix sniper with a .30 rainstorm barrel @ 850 FPS @ 2600 psi. I’ll post results after I get some on target. Hoping it’s a keeper. We need more .30 bullets available.
