My Nationals outcome

hey guys just a result on how i did at my first US National for air rifle bechrest. 1st day was 25m open class, i came next to last with a 688, the wind was 15mph just plain horrible, my rifle had a thimble oring failure grrr!! Im sure it was my fault when i rebuilt the gun. The next day i was at the indoor range fixing my HV rifle and sighting it in.
We shot LV class forst on the second day, i shot my new Lv Raw that i took delivery of 2 days proir and came in 2nd!
Hv class was next, i came in third with my BM500MKLL.
third day was springer class i came in 2nd with my Joe Rhea Fwb300s!!! In the pouring rain!!!


i should mention the Thomas rifles did well 1st place finishes in 2 of 4 classes!

"Dan.C"Wind was sure crazy, I had a blast shooting, was my first time shooting 25 meter, first time shooting a 177 but im for sure hooked and will be going all in. Ken Hicks and Todd banks are true pros in every sence of the word. Can't wait till the next time

As Ken said I was only there on Saturday. Of course if you are serious about benchrest then I will see you in holbrook starting next month?

Thank you again Ken, the scope is very nice and I still can't believe I won it. I had a lot of fun and am happy to have achieved at least one of my goals. I'm sure we'll run into eachother again, specially if you decide to start shooting field target ;). John

To take a gun that embarrassed you one day and scrambled your brain as bad
as next to last no doubt did. Then the next day claw your way onto the podium
with it is something to be very proud of. Second with new gun, and podium in
every class is indeed impressive. But having the ability to shake off and soldier
on is in my opinion your greatest accomplishment. Well done! Congratulations!!!
