So today i wanted to see what the front REG is set to, and it seem to be 110 BAR,,,,, but here is the kicker no matter how much i adjust on it ( UP ) the rear manometer needle do not move.

So of course to adjust the front REG i have turned the rear one all the way out so it is flush, from the point where it was at 100 BAR that was quite a few full turns of the hex key, on the first few cranks of the hex key in the rear REG i also did hear the rear REG let thru more air, but it soon stopped.

I assume this is okay to do VS depressurizing the whole tube and then turn out the rear REG until it is flush, it is my understanding you do not have to depressurize the whole gun for making any adjustments,,,,, at least not out / up in pressure.

So when i put the hex key in the front REG to adjust it, well the needle on the manometer barely moved, and i am now at a place where i have turned it a full revolution, without hearing air go thru the front REG which i did hear at first but it then stopped.

So now i am inclined to think:

1: the front REG is broken and will not let more than 110 - 120 BAR thru it.

2: the rear manometer are broken and are not able to display more than the 110 - 120 BAR

Just noticed on my picture, the gauge is cracked too.

This FX airgun,,,,,, not as effortless as i expected to get shooting with, i am going to see if adjusting REG make any change over a crono, if not, well i will have to get in contact with the dealer.

A: Anyone know if there is difference in sub 12 regulators ( wondering if one of those could be put in my gun by accident as gauge can not display over 110 BAR apparently )

B: Anyone know if the 2 regulators in the FAC version ( which mine should be ) are the same pressure range so it would not matter if i tried to switch the 2 around.

A. would make sense to me

B. I doubt myself at least it would be strange if a REG top out at 110 BAR on a FAC gun even if it is a peashooter .177

Fortunate i also have burly " Danish sailor and ships engineer" in my skill set, CUZ things have not been smooth sailing with this Maverick i feel.

Okay engineer i am not certified as, but none the less i have 2 ship engagements in my seamans book where it say engineer and not just sailor.

After you turned up the second reg ( flush), in order to turn up the first reg I would degas the gun and start from scratch with the first reg to see if you can get more than that 110bar.

Could be a bad gauge or reg. Not sure if that is your front or rear reg in the pic, but my first or front reg goes to 300bar.

I have my first reg set at 145bar and the second at 110bar which seems to be working great.

This guys videos helped me.

The pic is my rear reg, but front or rear it cant go higher than that.

Yeah i of course bled the gun out, before setting the #2 REG again, as per FX instructions.

To adjust your regulators:
1. Open up the second regulator (2) fully (max pressure) by adjusting it
counterclockwise until the screw is flush with the regulator house.

You must do this in order to see the first regulators pressure on the gauge (3).
2. Adjust the first regulator (1) to wanted pressure, this should be a higher
pressure than what you would like as the working output pressure. Set this

preferably to 25-50 bars above the desired working output pressure of the

second regulator.
See regulator gauge (3). Make sure you have full pressure (200+bar) in the
tank before starting this adjustment.
3. Remove the bottle and make certain the pre-chamber is emptied, see
regulator gauge (3). If it shows any pressure, point the rifle in a safe direction

and dry fire it until the gauge (3) reads zero pressure.
4. Adjust the second regulator (2) clockwise (decrease pressure) almost all
the way in (do not tighten).
5. Pressurize the system again by attaching the bottle.

6. Adjust the second regulator counterclockwise (increase pressure) until
preferred output is reached.

Very eager to get my crono to see what speeds are / do with further adjustments, but it will probably not be here before Wednesday, and that day while i plan to shoot, the first 5 of my awake hours have been taken up by my niece for which i have to act as driver.

I am dumbfounded as to why i can not get the gauge to read more pressure, it simply do not make sense to me.

but when i can back out a reg and nothing happen on the gauge, or no air is heard moving i get a bit confused.

Also i forgot to mention my Maverick fill extremely slow, i can shoot it all the way down to 120 BAR, then hook it up to my 300 BAR bottle, and just throw the valve all open, the gauge on the FX fill kit then of course jump to 120 BAR at once, but from there it fill pretty slow, like at least a minute to reach the 230 BAR i fill the temporary ALU bottle to.

If i did the same with my Cyclone, it would fill in seconds, for sure absolutely no danger of Filling my Maverick too fast, CUZ on a 300 BAR bottle and valve all open the needle just creep up nice and easy ( not that i am in a hurry to fill ) just noticed the gun take in air very slow VS the cyclone and cutlass i am used to, and which i for sure feel you could fill too fast.

I will remember to make a video of the fill speed on the next shootout / fill of the rifle, but as i see it, there are no way in hell you could fill my Maverick too fast, unless you bring like a 500 BAR bottle in play.

Also i never seen any mention of a fill restriction on the new FX rifles, so i would assume it was possible to do what we call fill too fast, just not on my rifle it seem.

okay !

My Maverick was dialed wayyyyyyyy back all over the place for some reason.

And it seem like i might have had a seizure while messing with regulators, and not being able to get them over 115 BAR, i now have the rear REG at 125 BAR and JSB heavies fly at 1050 fps on hammer #7

Hammer from factory was dialed almost all the way in, i have now backed it out some ( 3 - 4 mm i recon, the end of the adjustment screw are flush with the bottom of the hole in the other end )

Funny thing, when i put in a 3 grain heavier monster redesign, and my FX crono measuring 590 - 1100 FPS dont register it,,,, most likely as it are too slow, seem a bit strange to me that 10l.43 grains do 1050 FPS and put in a 13.34 grain MRD pellet and it is slower than 590 FPS.

Neway got the heavies to shoot okay today though my first ever 50 yard bench shot, was outright put to shame by my friend shooting the old .22 cutlass, fair to say my maverick still have some ways to go.

Me on brand new Maverick .177 shooting JSB heavy.

My friend whom i usually shoot better than, shooting a 10 year old cutlass and .22 JSB jumbo heavy

I am not particular happy with my new gear ( gun - scope ) when i see this stuff.
