My latest spring gun adventure: PROJECT PANTHER 34

Hey gang -

Hope I can get the picture thing happening, as I want to post a pic of my latest project, a Panther 34 in .177 I picked up off of Brad's classified's a while back. It's the TO5 version, and I've always preferred that first synthetic stock over the present version.

Added a roll of pennies in the rear bottom cavity of the stock, and filled in the rest with liquid flex seal, and let it dry for two days.

Did my first chop job on a barrel, and went with 12 inches. Using a cut back M48 barrel sleeve, and an old RWS brake I got from Tim at Mac 1. He sell's them for $30.00 shipped, and mine came with some back yard friendly lagniappe, if you will.

Right now, I'm using the front and rear guides from Macari's magnum kit, but the spring from a FAC TX200 kit, with two coils removed, shooting close to 13 fpe w/JSB 8.4.

The scope is a refurbed UTG 4-16 mildot. This gun will end up being a Hunter Class field target loaner/truck gun, so that's how I'm rationalizing this whole venture lol -

Hello James -

Yep,still have the 22 Panther, in fact, need to pull her out of the truck and wipe her down since hunting season is over.

Maybe I'll post a pic of my pair o' Panthers?

Off to sight in the .177, will post results.

EDIT: Got her dialed in at 25 yards, she's holding zero, grouping well, shooting better than I do.

A pic of the Panthers -
