My Hatsan Flashpup project gun

I wanted a rifle to mess around with as a hobby and to shoot, in addition to my 2240's and 1322. I like to tinker.

The price was right, so I went with a Flashpup 22 from Utah Airguns. I committed to the Hatsan after always wanting a bull-pup and watching about every video on youtube about them first. Brotherinair channel deserves a substantial amount of credit for my purchase.

Mine groups the Hades, AA 16gr, and JSB 18gr best. The tune I use work well for all these pellets, with the hades being the best.

My work so far

-Huma reg install at 150bar

-Carbon fiber shroud

-DonnyFL Sumo

-Hawke Sport Optics Airmax 30 SF Compact 3-12x40 AMX IR Riflescope

-BLK Rings

-Cleaned and lubricated action

-All factory seals replaced and greased

-Removed stain, sanded, stained ebony, matte clear coat

-Lots of shooting and tuning reg and hammer spring. Trying to get 24 shots before going off reg and staying in the pellets happy zone

Upcoming

+ Polish hammer and inside of action (mine has a section that would shred cheese with ease)

+ Try and figure out a way to have larger bolt handle

+ Low tune and pellet

Here is what I did to add a larger bolt handle on my SFP. Using RTV glued the "shipping protector" that came with my gun. Looks a little gaudy but it is oh so comfortable and is holding up great.

Also added a front scope rail mount and a rear 3/32nd spacer just under the rear of the scope rail. Gives me a 25yd zero without using hardly any of the scopes elevation turret.

Did that bigger bolt handle thing on my Bantam also. Its a boldt on handle.

Typo 11/64*

I was called out yesterday at 2am and never was able to get back to bed

I wouldn't call it a call out, haha. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Now, I have some more questions regarding what was opened up. What all did you open up? You'll want to do the barrel and transfer at the 11/64 you mentioned, and you'll want to open up the valve seat to 3/16 and the valve exit to close to that. After drilling out that valve seat to 3/16, you'll want to work on the opening with some rolled up sandpaper to get the opening up to a true 3/16. That material will stretch when drilling, so the resulting hole will be a bit smaller than 3/16. Another tip, rotate the valve 180 degrees exactly to see where that valve exit lines up to the transfer. If your Flash is like many I have done, you find that hole doesn't quite line up, so you'll want to open that exit hole in a way that makes the alignment better. Don't worry too much, if you have to open that valve exit a bit larger than 3/16 to get the alignment better. It'll have no real negative affect.

If you want to take things farther still, you can make a PEEK valve seat for the valve, which can be opened up quite a bit more. For your uses, it really isn't a necessity though. You should be able to get that Flash doing about anything you want it to do. You just gotta get it breathing as well as possible :D

Thanks for the advice, I will get to work on it.

I wasn't calling your post a call out, I had a work call out that started at 2am. That led right into my normal work day of 7am-4pm. And earlier in the week I was dealing with follow ups of this https://www.sebastiandaily.com/crime/body-of-missing-pregnant-woman-found-in-gifford-29867/

This is what I ordered. I wet sanded it to remove the gloss, as a matte option wasn’t available at the time.
