My Wildcat MKll compact arrived Friday. Compared to my Impact it is light. I started to set it up and noticed that the rail for the bypod was loose when I went to tighten it I found that the screw was striped . Removed the screws and I was taken aback, they used wood screws to hold the rail on . The stock is not fiberglass filled or chopped fiber so there is not anything to really hold the threads of the screw.
I removed the stock and installed t - nuts and epoxide the nuts to strengthen and seal the stock. assembled and installed the Atlas bypod. Also when they screwed on the rail it was free hand not centered. Anyway assembled rifle and will finish the rifle when the scope gets here on Tuesday.
This isn't a complaint I really like the rifle I just thought I would let anyone that was interested know so they could fix the problem that is waiting to happen.
