My Wildcat MKll compact arrived Friday. Compared to my Impact it is light. I started to set it up and noticed that the rail for the bypod was loose when I went to tighten it I found that the screw was striped . Removed the screws and I was taken aback, they used wood screws to hold the rail on . The stock is not fiberglass filled or chopped fiber so there is not anything to really hold the threads of the screw.

I removed the stock and installed t – nuts and epoxide the nuts to strengthen and seal the stock. assembled and installed the Atlas bypod. Also when they screwed on the rail it was free hand not centered. Anyway assembled rifle and will finish the rifle when the scope gets here on Tuesday.

This isn't a complaint I really like the rifle I just thought I would let anyone that was interested know so they could fix the problem that is waiting to happen.

Glad you got it fixed :) Can't believe they wood-screwed it on there.

Can't wait to see some pics!

I also bought a WC MK1 off of the classifieds. It came with a bipod rail that I was told was installed by the retailer he bought it from.  The rail was installed into the synthetic stock with MACHINE screws  Needless to say, it was not stable with the bipod attached. Just like eodman I reinstalled it using t-nuts.  I also shaped the underside of the rail to match the contour of the stock.  Rock solid now.

Do all MK2 come with the bipod rail attached? Is that how FX sends it from the factory or is that something your dealer installed for you. ?

Planning to get a Cat soon so wanted to know.

    Thanks in advance.

The FX Wildcat MK II's don't come with the forearm bi-pod from the factory.

The Wildcat MK II COMPACT comes from the factory with the installed forearm bi-pod

and also has the PICATINNY  scope rail up top instead of the 11mm typical airgun rail.

Have had my COMPACT about a month now and continue to be TOTALLY impressed.

The compact is a top performer for me. 870fps this past Saturday with JSB 25gr.
