My First PCP

So I've gotten a response from Steyr stating that putting the washer beneath the TP is indeed the right fix and that it should be around 0,1 to 0,2mm thick.
I took out my TP, took out the teflon tape I put under it out and measured how high was the transfer port without any modifications and it was 46,89mm (I was measuring from the highest of the metal part of the TP to the bottom of the frame). I slowly started to rise the TP and kept measuring it until the puff of air went away while shooting a pellet.
At 47,00mm the puff of air stopped.
Since I was still using teflon tape because I could easily add or remove it I'll try to find something that is the right thickness to make a more permanent solution.
I'll keep you guys posted.

"scrane"
"AJ"I would also state in the letter that I am not happy with the accuracy of this gun the way it is.

By my estimation, throwing out the flyer, this gun is grouping .55" at 75 yards. Not too shabby.
Not to shabby indeed but as you could see with the last group it can open up just like that. And then the next one is ok again. It's these inconsistencies I'm trying to eliminate.
I know a lot has to do with the pellets and sorting but I'm trying to be confident with the rifle before I go down that rabbit hole.

Hey guys!

It's been a while but here is final update on the Steyr.
After trying and failing to achieve high enough speeds with a 16J regulator I sent it to Steyr to have it adjusted to 120bar. While I was sending the regulator I also sent the barrel to them so they can have it a quick look.
I got the barrel, reg and official explenation back within a week. So here's the deal future buyers (at least of the LG110 HPH).

If you want accuarcy at extended ranges - 50m and beyond you have to shoot the pellets around 285m/s or 935fps - this is the official statemant from Steyr and I have their test card and my own testing to confirm that.
Since the 4,5mm pellets are much lighter it should accheive these speeds with the 16J reg without adjustment.

All things considered I still got quite a few fliers until I took out the front barrel set screw and sanded the frame slightly since it was still touching.

Now shooting at these speeds the two left groups were shot at 50m when the conditions were perfect and my hand was steady (top right was a quick re-zero, bottom right was with some wind and centre was my GF having a go):

I'm still getting some fliers but I think that's a pellet and speed fine tuning problem. I will start sorting when I get the pellet gage and an accurate scale but that another topic.

Sorry it took so long to give a bit of "closure" to the thread.

I'd just like to thank everybondy who shared their knowledge, experiences and ideas to help fix my accuracy problems.
