I had no idea what to expect at this thing except it would probably have 1 or 2 guns I'd like ....Man I was WRONG !! This place had some of the nicest airguns I've seen online or in person !! Jack brought a HW30 with a stock I still am thinking about and was gracious enough to let me set a couple of my FWB rifles on his table , got to not only meet him but Bill Enright who sold a scope for me so fast I'm pretty sure is some kind of devil ....or at least a hypnotist . Jonnes who is such a good contributor to the forum and is a blast to talk with , if any of you guys reads one of his post trust me from getting to meet Jonnes in person , he is sharp as a knife and one of the classiest and funny gentlemen I've been lucky to meet in this little airgun community of ours .
Got to spend some time with Johnny Kitchens that is very active on Yellow forum and is an absolute blast to talk to ! And even had to good fortune to meet a guy who I think I'll leave nameless so won't be anyone begging for goodies. Lol. That read that I hadn't been able to try the Crosman premiere pellets that came in the cardboard boxes and was gracious enough to bring me a box with what looks like a couple hundred lubed and cleaned pellets to try !!!! How cool is that ?! And how super cool is he for doing such a thing !! Rode up with my new airgun buddy Willie who I had met here but not in person till Saturday morning early who's wife whispered " oh poop " to him when she saw my big ass with the eyepatch ... That tickled me ! Willie turned out to be a really good guy and wow is he smart about so Many things .... He's getting ready to launch a website ill share a link to in another post .
The Range there is incredible along with what had to be 50 volunteers from Arlington club who shared their incredible facility to host this event . There were also airgun celebrities and they were filming for their webshows and TV shows which I guess was cool . But the BEST part of the show was finally meeting some of the really good guys in the sport in person if only for long enough to say hello . Willbi be back next year ? Absolutely !!!
Oh and Yes there were some good deals to be had , I bought a HW35 from Jonnes ( thanks again ) and probably was lucky I didn't bring more money ( next year note to self . bring MORE $ ) And I would also like to say thank you to the guys who took the time to look at the guns I had rebuilt and refinished and share their thoughts . It was very humbeling to have guys who have been in the sport so long appreciate the guns I brought . . PS that's my bigass at the show taking a breather and telling what almost certainly is a pack of lies to these folks who drive up to attend the show

Well whatever the case we found our perfect hunting lease 4x4
A 70 jacked up camero sitting on what looked like 28" mudders straight headers with what is most likely a big block chevy
Yep might not get to kill anything (but our selves) but mannnnnn we would be ride n and style n
LOL

P.S no joke some nut case actually did this
The car was down the road from the club

Man that Arlington Sportsmans Club was full service. It puts the normal shooting range to shame. As for being a "celebrity" BB Pelletier aka Tom Gaylord is a great down to earth fella.
I half way expected some price gouging like is common at the gun shows but found that not to be the case. If my pockets were deeper they would be empty now. It would be nice to see more airgun shows. Folks form all around the US were there.

It was very nice to meet you too, Joe. There was more than enough room on my table for another half-dozen rifles at least! You'll find that airgun shows are expensive but a lot of fun. Also, it's one of the few opportunities to meet a lot of enthusiasts in one place. Sadly, there aren't very many shows and they are pretty widely scattered geographically. You have the Texas show and Malvern Arkansas shows within fairly reasonable distance. I have the Hickory, NC show close to me, everything else is 10 or more hours away. Most years I make it to Hickory and one other show, usually a different one each year. This year I got to Texas. We'll see what happens next year.
Jack

It was a fun show. A lot of guns and accessories for sale. I met some old friends from previous shows and matches and met some new ones too.
The range was really nice. I went out and shot the TM1000. NIce gun, very nice trigger. Parallax was way off on the scope, but I didn't want to make any adjustments to something that wasn't mine. Louder than I thought. Accuracy was good even with the parallax being out of wack.
Shot the Texan even though I'm not a big bore shooter. I had shot it last year at the Texas show but from a rest. This year I wanted to shoot it off hand and did so at the pig silhouettes. It hit with such force that four out of the five went down! Now that's my idea of a "hog hunt". Even though very long, it was surprisingly well balanced and very LOUD!!
Forgive me, I'm not being critical of those two guns, but neither type is the class of shooting I enjoy. I just wanted the experience so I could say I have shot them.

My hat is off to the very generous sponsors that donated all the really cool stuff that was given away. Sadly, I held no winning ticket.

Looking forward to next year already. Hope to see some of you in Malvern next year. Till then, shoot safe and hit what you're aiming at !!
