My AAA EVOL 30 Setup

The proper tool for the barrel nut is a pin style spanner 1.125 OD with a 0.156" diameter pin. Most industrial suppliers like McMaster Carr have many to choose from. We have made some custom spanners for internal use and when there is time to make more they will be available to purchase.

@Slayer can we get a small production run of these made with the Slayer logo on them?

@slayer Does the 22 HPS shoot pellets with the same accuracy as slugs or it is just intended to be mainly a slug airgun. I am thinking on the HPS for benchrest with pelles. Any info would be very appreciated.

The hps has a barrel and lead that is optimized for slugs in the 27 to 40 gn range. It does shoot redesigns extremely well but it is not a dedicated BR gun. The 21" barrel is not needed, shorter would be better and the twist is too fast for pellets at longer ranges.

I'm not saying a detuned HPS would not be competitive at 100M BR but BR is not the primary mission.

I just ordered a 30 cal Evol

Anyone knows if it comes in a box or a case? Also a manual or instructions inside so I can have a clue on how to perform regular maintenance, cleaning and adjust speed and pressures?

Any info would be very appreciated.

Mine came in a box without instructions, but maintenance / adjustment is simple. There's some diagrams on the website that list all of the o-rings.

The ones that I have replaced are the silicone -8 (#008 AS558 - pellet probe and reg piston), B70 -122 and -117 (reg exterior), and I wound up putting two 10x2mm B70s around the metal collar that sits between the reg manometer and the rifle. The most common wear o-ring is the -8 around the pellet probe, but I have only had to replace mine once. The clear silicone -8's that I have are very durable.

I thought the Taipans had very few o-rings, but Tom must have an o-ring allergy, because there are even less in the EVOL's design lol

@mtnGhost I know this might sound complicated but consider your next YT video a run thru the Evol disassembly, cleaning or how to change pressure and speed. I am still not sure on what the proper tool is used to remove the barrel

Nah, that sounds like work and liability lol. I just post occasional videos for friends (not a big YouTuber type).
