My .25 WARP came!!!

It's a shooter!!! I took it out today and I love the WARP. First off its just a solid feeling gun even though it's light. The over size bolt handle is awesome and I think a must just makes it so much easier compared to a disco or Mrod bolt. Super smooth cycling as well. I really like the retractable bolt feature as well. Next the trigger is amazing. Im glad all WAR guns come with a 2 stage now. The safety is in a good spot where you don't need to move your hand to switch it on and off just use your thumb. The magazine is like a heavy duty Mrod one and works nicely. For how small this gun is it really packs a punch and Travis said mine isn't even cranked up. It's tuned for 880fps with 25.4 JSBs but there not coming until Tuesday. Luckily I had some H&N 31gr and at 25 yds I was shooting clovers with a rather crappy rest to sight it in so I'm happy with e accuracy. I did get some hunting in and made 2 50yd shots with it one pigeon and one collared dove. 2 for 2 so far. The gun isn't that terribly loud with no baffles and LDC retracted but with the LDC extended and baffles in even at 44fpe it is a very quiet gun with the pellet impact being a lot louder. So far it's everything I expected and I'm thrilled with it! Here's a few pics.

So here's another maybe stupid question:

I would love to buy a god airgun made in America by a maker who gives a darn about their customers and backs up their product. Even insures that their product is functioning 100% BEFORE it leaves the shop. BUT I'm also leery of being left out in the cold if a small custom shop folds up for whatever reason.

So here's my question: If I bought a gun from WAR and they go away would it be difficult to have the gun worked on by someone else still in the business?

wyshadow Shot count is pretty good IMO of 14 44fpe shots within 2% ES. Magazines hold 7 pellets. I heard word from Travis though that he has ordered up some longer drop blocks and that if one wanted can have one with a 480cc CF bottle which will double shot count at expense of about a half pound extra weight and of course the bigger sized bottle.

Nueces what kind of work are you thinking of? Between the Flex and the WARP I think these are 2 guns that you won't need to touch besides a reseal or cleaning the barrel or playing with the tuning. Talkin to Travis the simplicity of these guns was important to him. These guns are straight forward and I wouldn't hesitate working on it myself one bit. I believe Travis designed them so that your average Joe can work on them. Don't let the simplicity fool you though it's a very accurate powerhouse in a light compact yet heavy duty package.

Plus let's be real with how well the Flexs and WARPs are doin I don't think your gonna need to worry about WAR goin under anytime soon.

You might want to think about putting a reg on it. I have the Flex in .25
Didn't like how the JDS Airman reg was acting so I upped my ninja reg on my 13ci bottle to 2250 (closest I could get to 2200 with the shims I had).
Degassed the big bottle and put my 13ci on. Ran the below string over the chrony. This was with the King Hvy's. so over 51FPE

819.0 and off the regulator.

I now have a "modified" reg (this is what Travis is now including with the regulated Flex's instead of the POS JDS Airman reg's) set at just over 2K and I am getting 72 shots at just over 49FPE with a full fill to 3600psi. So going with the 480 bottle will not double your shot count it will likely Quadruple it.

Wow that's impressive BigTinBoat! Yes regulated with the big bottle with a 3600 fill would basically quadruple it. I might go regulated on it eventually and also get a .22 barrel for it. Travis just told me for unregulated it would double my shot count or alittle more on a 3000-2200 fill which is what it's tuned for. I wonder how much more efficient the 17" barrel on your Flex is compared to the 12.5" barrel on the WARP. I hope your enjoying your .25 Flex. Yours is the only other .25 WAR gun that I know of.
