And here it is! Long time springer guy this is my first trip to the Darkside.
All testing was done on the Factory reg setting of 150 bar.
I only have 25.4 JSB’s currently 34’s are on the way.
First day of testing was with the 380mm barrel. A bit windy with 10-12mph gusts.
41.24 ft/lbs PW Max-855 5-848 4-844 3-836 2-800 1-748.
Not too worried about groups but it was shooting really nice at 50yds.
Shot a few decent groups between gusts at 75yds. Here was my best.
Today I got up early to beat the wind, put on the 700mm barrel. No scope removal just 4 screws takes a minute to swap.
Wow does this barrel up the power!
55 ft/lbs PW Max-988 5-984 4-967 3-901 2-836 1-didn’t test. The 25.4’s seemed happiest on PW 3 900fps. I got 85 shots from 250 to 150. I wasn’t cronying for the drop off, may have been a few more in there. I’m pretty happy with that count.
I did have a handful of 30.86 gr Baracudas to crony. PW Max 960fps-63ft/lbs. I got a feeling slugs are going to be a lot of fun.
New side shot magazine works really nice.
Super impressed with this rifle thus far. No reg creep to report. In and out from ac to 87° gauge moved between 149 to 151 bar and looks good each morning. I had just a couple hiccups FX forgot to install the pic rail. UA is sending me one and the spare mag I ordered came in bag marked .25 but was .22. UA said that they’re shipment was all mislabeled. No biggie. I’d rather install the pic rail anyway.
Amazing watching this gun print groups in the wind 2” long nice straight row.
I’ve got a lot to learn about reading wind.
