Is that the Nightforce NX8?

What is your impression of the scope?

It is. It’s heavier than I’d wish for, but it is amazing. Crystal clear and the mil-c reticle is truly awesome. The turrets are true. I have no real complaints. It is an amazing optic and I love it on the EDgun R5M STD. I went with the A 190 mount. It is really low and works perfect with the R5 series EDguns.

I have the NF NX8 on my Taipan Vet .25 long. And I agree, it is a quality scope, my favorite of the 5 to 6 brands I use ----->Athlon, Hawke, MTG, Aztec, UTG...

Brian should give you a commission! You've just about sold me on a .177 standard.

How do the 16g pellets shoot? Also, can you get decent power with just the HS adjustment or does the regulator need to be turned up also?

If you want to shoot the heavier side of the .177 stuff I would recommend adding a hula plenum. 15.5 gen NSA slugs at 930 today me results in the 16.2 beast pellets at about 950. They fly very well. I shoot the slugs due to the higher BC. Slugs are flatter and the energy retention is better. This helps on terminal performance as the slugs do expand and dump energy.

With the plenum you will need to dial to 127-132 BAR.
