I do take it off to store the Mutant in my pistol case in gun safe,
I also had the LDC taken off the Cricket 25 comparing them.

liking the chunky look of your ldc! but, with the greatest respect, imho, adding a ldc to a bullpup kinda defeats the purpose of having a short pointable air rifle. i am sure the standard mutant is shorter than your ldc’d shorty? why not just get the standard with the higher shot count and power.

It depends how short the bullpup is. The Shorty is 22″ so it is still far shorter than most other bullpups even with an LDC. It’s definitely still pointable.

A lot of people add an LDC or extra baffles to bullpups. It’s very common with Wildcat and Vulcan owners plus every Korean bullpup. When you need it, you need it.

I would argue that it makes more sense to add an LDC to a bullpup than a full length rifle. Some of my full length air guns become completely unmanageable with an LDC as they approach 48″-50″. You can make a Shorty as close to silent as they get while keeping it far shorter than most carbines with no LDC or shroud at all.

Plus, as you can see in the pics, it comes off if he suddenly has the need for close quarter squirrel combat and can’t manage his 27″ gun….

With the Mutant even with the LDC off and the LDC s on the Crickets they (crickets) seem very loud,
The only reason I put a LDC on the mutant is just for grins and kicks, The impact of the pellet is so loud it scares the other sparrows off anyway,
90% of my shooting is without a LDC, Now I will install it to impress my brothers or some in-laws,  Or for the cool factor,
Got a couple of red squirrels around, But there on the no shoot list, Only seen two.
Had a couple of ground squirrels coming under my bird feeders , dumb me took out all three of them ion a day, Should have waited until they started family’s
Sparrows are my main prey, a few euro doves to fed the turtles, Copy and paste I will try.

IN Photobucket, just to the right of your Photo is a box that says “share this Photo”
simply put your mouse pointer (assuming computer) over the box contents of the “direct” label.
left click the box and the contents are then copied to your memory.  Come to AGN and open a dialog
and simply paste by using “control V” or what ever method you use to paste.  The HTTP address will show up
and when you submit AGN will go get your pic and wala!  :=) hope that helps.
