MTC Viper Pro Temperature Drift

Apologies if this has already been covered but I have some really nasty POI drift based on temperature. I have an MTC Viper Pro on my Brocock Commander. It's always windage that's the problem never elevation. If it's 50F or below outside POI is to the left. If it's 80F or above POI is to the right. The more the swing in temperature from, say 70F, the greater the issue. Yesterday I had to compensate 3" at 55 yrds and it was about 90F outside.

Is this to be expected with generally all scopes or is this a problem specifically with the MTC Viper Pro? Some days it drives me up the wall because if I have an opportunity shot on a tree rat who knows where POI will be unless I do the prior temperature sighting game for windage.

Thanks in advance!

It seems obvious but I've doing this for 20 years and know how easy it is to overlook 'simple' things. make sure the scope rings are snug to scope and tight to the rail. I say this because I've made that mistake/oversight, and the rail on the gun is snug/tight. Beyond that, what you describe is more extreme than any temp shift I've ever had or read about. If its a new scope, or at least still under warranty, I would call the retailer or whomever the warranty folks might be and describe what you said above. 3" at 55y is pretty extreme as long as you can rule wind out.

The worst temp shift I've had was with a 1500 scope, not one - but all three I tried. They were vertical shifts though and no where near 3 inches at 55y.

Friends, thank you all for the responses. It seems I have misattributed the problem and have overlooked the issue. I was shooting down past the regulator -- mine is regulated at 150 bar and evidently I was down around 130 bar. It seems the Commander is super-sensitive about pressure as it nears the regulator to the point that anything under say 170 bar begins to get a bit wonky. Thank you seriously all for your responses as it gave me the confidence to go "Hmm, maybe it's not the scope... and I'm using the scope to compensate for another issue".

I just got done whacking a 75 yard target repeatedly in 95F temps without any scope windage adjustments just the native zero on the turrents. I had the pressure at ~235 bar and it was dead center every time.

Thanks again friends, much appreciated! Thinking back to every POI shift issue I've had it's either wind (expected, it's called windage for a reason hah) or I am nearing 160 bar.
