MTC Viper pro 5-30x50

Hi!
Anyone using/used the Viper pro scope ? really not alot of info or reviews about this scope, and im really liking the turrets on it and also i would like abit bigger magnification from my current Hawke Airmax 4-12 x 40 on my WC.
I know Ted`s used the MTC scope but not much more info about it, only found some quick comments that its had some parallax issues and that it get cloudy at higher magnification, i probably wouldn't go up to the 30x , maybe around 20-25x for longer shots.
Im mainly interested in it cause of the turret type, i rather dial it to the range than using hold over`s
So all comments and reviews would be more than welcome!

Also if you want you can recommend me some other similar type scope`s in price range of 450€ ( 500 usd ) and available in Europe your more than welcome!

Over and out!

I have the MTC Viper Pro Tactical 3 18x50mm on my Brocock Commander and I like it. I'm using the adjustable turrents to compensate for windage and elevation and find it works well. The illuminated reticle is helpful at dusk or when shooting into shade. I really don't have any major complaints about it aside from adjusting windage -- I have to mentally figure out which direction moves left and right. Elevation is labelled. I find the magnification dial easy to turn and same with the focus dial. I have not experienced any POI shifts with light bumps.

Thanks for this even tho its not the 5-30x im looking into, and also i will just hold for the wind instead of dialing windage.
Glad to hear your happy with your MTC scope! :)

Marcuz,

I have one on my Vulcan .25. I like the scope and all operations as referenced above. The only issue I have with the scope is the thinness of the reticle. I use my airguns to hunt grey squrriels in the woodlands of Alabama in USA and very often I will lose sight of the reticle in the leaves, twigs and branches as I’m trying to acquire the target. I rarely have the opportunity or time to make Elevation adjustments because in the thicker woods of Alabama the distances that I shoot are 50 yards or less and the target is typically not very still for long periods of time. It is illegal to shoot over feeders or bait here so the squrriels are not stationary for very long. So I’m considering selling it to get a SWFA SS scope. I already have a SWFA SS on my Taipan Vet in 22 and it is much easier (thicker reticle) for me to use in my particular hunting environment and situations. So I’m considering selling my MTC Viper Pro. If interested PM me.
