MTC viper connect 3-12x24

I don’t have this exact scope, but I have the 10x30 atom. To be honest the turrets aren’t matching the scope cost. BUT it’s still a very usable scope and fun to use and the glass clarity is good for my purpose of 10-75y. However, usually when this happens (price vs quality for your money) the scope overall doesn’t match up with the price… in a bad way.

I like the atom but it’s very specifically built and I use it that way. If you’re looking at the connect you want a very close eye relief most likely. I can’t think on the top of my head another company that offers that in a normal scope form. So maybe that’s the only option?I would make sure you get a great deal on it so you don’t feel unimpressed with the turrets and out some money.

Had one that i used as a Hunter class PISTOL scope for a couple seasons. Played with it as a rifle scope during this time as well.

NEVER was a crisp & clear image always somewhat muddled in focus even tho bright and seemingly clear upon casual viewing.

The wide FOV was great !! but the near ZERO eye relief was difficult to mount on the rifle, was excellent as a pistol scope.

In time I just could not accept the muddled clear yet not viewing threw the glass and SOLD IT.

I had one , liked it alot. You could let the eyepiece rest against your brow around your eye to give you more contact for steadier offhand shooting. The diopter did not adjust enough as my eyes got worse. Have an Atom on my Fx Dreamlite Compact, like it too. You really have to get yoour scope set up corectly & once u get used to it, it is great. But for some reason they have not really taken off like I would of thought.

Anyone have experience with this scope. For the money, it’s feature packed, and the wide angle picture would be beneficial at short distances.

had one, mounted it and sold it right away. Field of view is nice and wide which was nice but it isn’t mind blowing wide and by the time the zoom goes pass 10x it’s like looking through milky water if the eye doesn’t line up perfectly and even then it’s not clear! I rather use my 80 dollar eBay Barra which has only 20% narrower field of view. It’s 2000 and late cool….at best.

you can get a swapfox 1-10 arrowhead LPVO with mil or MOA for the same price right now with 15% off at opticsplanet and it will blow it out of the ocean in every possible way and don’t have to stick your eyeball to it and lighter? And night and day better warranty! I will not use that scope even if it is free!

I agree, I had to play with the eye relief, which felt like forever to be happy with it for the most part. I still have some issues quickly raising the riffle and being on target right away and not adjusting my cheek and eye position. There's a lot of "forgiveness" in a regular good quality 3.5" eye relief scope for this issue especially in the 8-12 power range. No room for error on those zero eye relief scopes. Definitely purpose built.

My experience has been the same (save for use as a pistol scope), but I still have it mounted on my 1322. I typically leave it at 8x zoom and do not zoom in any further.

10-12x zoom is SUPER washed out. I think part of the problem is that the tiny objective cannot gather enough light for that much magnification? And the wide FOV (when zoomed in) easily picks up reflections off of the gun, and makes a mess of the whole sight picture.

Main attrators for me are a nice illuminated reticle, and that it can drastically alter the balance of a gun. Oh, and since you have to put it smack up against your face, it actually helps stabilize the gun, lol.
