Never tried that one, like you say just got here. But did try a MTC Connect which is a variable power scope. With the Connect you have an incredible FOV & keep your eye close to the eyepiece. This is the same type scope. When I had the Connect, I actually put my forehead/brow against the eyepiece. It made for sorta a 3 point contact & assisted in more accurate offhand shooting for me. But the real positive about these scopes is the incredible FOV. It is almost like the rest of the world is blocked out from you. Try one, let us know.

Yup! I have been waiting for these to come out too, but the price is a deal breaker. I am not that disappointed though because the ultra short eye relief on the 12x would have been hard for wearing glasses with, which I need for astigmatism. Their original wide field scopes had 30mm, which is very doable with glasses, these -not so much. If the 10x had the same reticle has the 12x I would still consider buying one though just for the size factor alone, a perfect little bullpup sight. I would still have to look through it first as I doubt that eye relief could work for me at all.

I, too, was excited by the concept but (unpleasantly) surprised by the price. R&D costs aside, it seemed like this design wouldn’t be super-expensive to produce. I figure they’re just hoping it fits a niche that is otherwise open... it will be interesting to see if it moves in spite of the price. Seems like some early-adopters are going to have to do some raving for it to become a big winner for MTC.

Since I was the boss today on drilling site, I gave everyone an early quit. The driller wanted to get casing in as it was such a beautiful day. I told him that you work on ugly days & do things you love on beautiful days, well any way. I told him I would bring him McDonalds breakfast in the morning to bribe him. I rushed home and put this swat on the compact.

I actually like it. The glass is crisp & very nice. I have it mounted perfect, when my forehead rest against the eyepiece & have clear view, my cheek is making good contact with the cheek pad. I could not get the rubber eyepiece to work for me, & will work on that later. That would be great to block out light. I do the same thing with the bill of my hunting cap. I sighted it in a couple shots and was shooting great groups at 20 30 & 50 yards. The ret is kind of thick , but for hunting that is what I want. The illumination is bright, but not really daylight bright at least to my eyes. I had it outside in bright sunlight . But as easy as the ret is to see, I don't think on this rig I will need it. To me this scope seems natural, but am sure it will take a little for some shooters to get use to. I am just happy to have a 10 power scope that is so light & compact. Below is a clip I tried to get holding a tactacam up against the eye piece, so don't judge this scope by the video. I could not even get the whole ret in the tactacam view , so fov is much larger than vid shows. My verdict is not in, but so far my view is favorable.

Yo nutcracker, will the rubber eyepiece work if you were wearing eyeglasses? It looks awesome on your gun.

Don't know. I could not get it to work w/o glasses. I have tried those scope eyepiece rubbers for years and can never get them to work for me. I sometimes put a piece of cardboard on the side of my hunting hat bill, to block unwanted light. Really helps me see better.
