most powerful 25cal air rifles+ bull pup length

I am looking for a 25 cal air rifle for hunting coyotes in my neighborhood, Question -

will 30 cal be too loud even with a moderator i dont want to alarm my neighborhood (the hatsan bt carnivore looks like a cheap option i found it on amazon)? i would get a moderator though

I am looking at the hatsan neurtron star and hatsan hercules bully, . seems like the neutron star has 54 fpe but is 44 inches long

the hercules in 25 cal- if im doing my math right has 90+ FPE. it has a good length, but it is 10 pound so it seems very unwieldy. again i would add a moderator

any suggestion on a high power 25 cal that is not unwieldy.

another question - i am worried about hatsan's 1 year limited warranty from what i understand they are hard to get on the phone.

sorry for all the questions. even if you answer a few questions that would be helpful

The Wildcat MK3 is a bad motha shut yo mouth! and can be tuned and modified to some serious FT/LBS. Extremally accurate too. (compact version) I own the longer MK3 sniper and added the extended plenum and dual port barrel transfer port. I'm getting 1009fps with the 25gr JSB kings and 900+ fps with the 34gr heavys and still have more power if needed as the amp reg is set around 135bar. I was able to do all this thanks to the guidance from JoeKool here on this site.

Thanks again to JoeKool🙏

I should mention i'm looking for $900 top end.. and $500 would be even better.

the hatsan flash pup comes to mind in 25 cal.. but i worried about the warranty.i really don't have the skill to tinker

i have an akela 22 cal i just got.. but i am wondering if a step up in power to 25 cal would be a good idea for hunting coyotes. i should be able to get off 50 yard shots or even closer based on my experience seeing them on a regular basis... so again maybe going up to 25 cal would not be worth it if i already have the akela in 22.

bullpup would be better. but if i can get a cheap 42 inch rifle with alot of power out of the box of 45+ fpe.. i would be interested too. i will add a moderator to cut down on noice

I'm getting a full 10 shot magazine at over 80fpe from the Kral Puncher Breaker in 25cal. Just over 7lbs and short. Barrel is threaded for a suppressor already so easy to keep quiet.

The Kral Puncher Breaker posted by @thammer is awesome at the power level and price but will require modifications to be done. Although they may seem like low cost mods the real cost is the labor to do the mods properly and not hack the gun. If you are confident in your mechanical skills I say go with the puncher breaker.

The .30 Hatsan carnivore will definitely give you over 90 fpe but is no where near bullpup length. Unless you can find a used one for $300-$400 and buy a bullpup stock for $220 (https://bull-pup.com/komplekt-bullpap-dlya-hatsan-bt-65-new-vlagostoykaya-fanera-palisandr-kbn65-2fp.html)

If budget is not an issue: I highly recommend either a huben or lcs sk19 in .25

They can both easily be tuned to 100 fpe or detuned to 12 fpe. This tuning can be done on the fly in under 30 seconds. Externally adjustable regulator, power wheel, semi auto and full auto(sk19), compact, lightweight, great ergonomics, and THE most fun guns to shoot hands down(especially the sk19 with full auto)

50 yards and under, .25 cal compact hunter, nothing can touch a Airforce TalonP. Out of the box 50fpe, very easy to make more, and is the easiest gun I have ever worked on.

DonnyFL adapter + Emperor and silently terminate any coyote you see.

My 30 cal Hatsan Hercules Bully came out of the box at 1075 using the 44.75 grain lead pellets. The 3 mags it comes with will easily hold 10 shots of the predator polymags. I tuned mine down to 889 FPS for 24 shots. The design of the mag will never allow a double feed, it’s a side cocker with an adjustable cheek rest. I get 5/8” to 3/4” groups with mine at 55 yards. I’m going to fix that shortly by modifying it to use the FX STX system.

Best of all, its in your price range. Unfortunately you’ll have to buy it new, as I never ever see 25 or 30 cals being sold in any classifieds sections.

Negatives- before you even mount a scope on it, order the scope rail from hatsan parts dept off of a hatsan Bullmaster($29), and replace that factory rail with that one. True bolt on. That factory rail is a hollow channel that is attached to the bottle cover, and the rail flexes which transfers to your scope. Believe me, you will go crazy trying to shoot decent groups with the factory rail.

Second, it is so very loud. Pick your moderator wisely. The Shogun barely helped it. I had to re wrap the innards of the Shogun with neoprene wrap to muffle the sound. If you live in the suburbs and want to plink with this gun, your neighbors will get upset for sure.

But, back to the power, it is a beast of a gun. Good luck in your search.

I have an Akela and my friends have a Marauder and A Condor. We don't have a chrono yet but, That Condor just flat smacks way harder then ours. Mine is by far the quietest the Condor sounds like a 410 being shot. Now he has parts coming from Talon to quiet it down. I'll let you know how that works out. He just ordered some slugs for the Condor from Nielsen and we should have a chrony by this weekend. If that happens I'll let you know

i second the airforce condor. 110 fpe. give or take depending on ammo. definitely will need a suppressor as it sounds like a canon otherwise. i made a custom unit for mine and its crazy quiet. currently tuned at 50 fpe with 29.2 grain noe hunter pellets.

Just took a gray squirrel at 25-30 yards. right in the eyeball. drt. if you get the tophat kit for the new spinlock tank as i did you can pretty much tune the gun for whatever you want it to be. i ended up using the .145" cap and get around 30 shots on a fill from 2400 psi to 2000 psi.
