More Spare parts Builds

As I have said before I have a "thing" about cast off parts from builds being used in new builds. In the first picture you see my Bottle-Rod Build which gave me a left over stock "stock" and a pressure tube more or less complete with stock valve. I then added a used Armada breech, Bolt and Huge transfer port from Hill airguns. Build myself a hammer from MDS and did a brass insert to make the weight of the hammer 38.4 grams (these are commercially available from Jefferson State Air Rifles). Used a 12# spring I had on hand from McMaster Carr. Turned a rear pressure tube cap from some 1" aluminum rod I had laying around. Obtained a nice piece of mat finish twill Carbon Fiber tube from Aloft Hobbies and made a shroud to hold the original baffle set and here it is (2nd and 3rd pictures):

I have not finished characterizing it but it is pushing a 25.4 grain pellet at 671 fps for a power of 25.4 foot / pounds

Notice that 671 fps. That is a magic number in ballistics because the weight of the projectile is equal to the foot pounds of muzzle energy at that speed.

I charged to 2900 psi and shot 3 magazines for a 400 lb drop in pressure. More testing and shot strings to come.

Low power for a .25 AR-Rod for sure but I have others making high power and wanted one with reasonable power and high shot count.
