I have a laminate stock and would not risk messing it up. But I don’t tinker. I set my Huma for 135 bar and am getting 58 shots on the reg at 820 fps with the jumbo heavies. Hammer spring set to optimal . And today shot to figure all my holdovers. I am shooting 3/4” groups at 100 yds. I will never mess with it again unless something breaks!. I just left the stock off when I did the crony testing for hammer spring and shot string.

After adjusting the hammer spring and fooling with different pellets i have been shooting 18.13 JSB ever since i bought the gun and the groups were excellent untill today 14.35 JSB i backed out the hammer spring 1/1/2" turns and it tuned in at 790 FPS and was putting them one on top of the other it was about 1/4" at 32 yards it was just wallowing out the same hole
