Moderator Accuracy Issues

Can anyone suggest a good moderator that doesn't appreciably affect accuracy? I was setting up my .25 cal FX Impact with a newly installed power plenum and 600mm barrel. I was getting good speeds 850 to 880 fps with 100 to 110 bar, but the accuracy was terrible with JSB King Heavy MK2's. I would get 2 one-holers then 2 high or vice versa in very calm conditions. Things just sort of spiraled downhill after that and I could not get repeatable accuracy after a tin or two of weighed pellets. I tried a bare Donny FL Ronin on the barrel and an older FX extendable shroud. I was getting some variance in speeds, but I am not sure if that was real or caused by low batteries on the FX chrony. The speed variances did not seem to correlate to the accuracy issues. Maybe it was just the pellets, but I was a bit frustrated at the end of the shooting session.

Thanks!

Low battery on the FX Chrony will not affect accuracy of velocity readings. Aligning the FX Chrono to face the path of the pellet may. Also, pellet velocity differences will only affect accuracy noticeably on longer ranges (50 yards plus) and/or at very low speeds (under 500 fps)..

Try shooting with the naked barrel and go from there. Until then it's just crapshoot.
