I've had a pretty good size possum living in my backyard somewhere for years, or at least shows up back there periodically, late at night. Have tried trapping it but it's too smart. I have a motion activated yard light that I noticed was on about 1am this morning. Look out the kitchen window and saw it about 12 yards away helping itself to my cats food and water dishes.
Grabbed my Pro Sport .22, cocked and loaded a Crossman 14.4gn pellet that I seem to be getting the best accuracy, FPS and FPE out of this gun with at the moment. With the yard light lighting him up, it was going to be an easy shot. I quietly pulled up the window blinds, set a bag rest on the window sill. Unlocked the window and started to "try" to quietly raise it, but the little bastard heard the "smack" as the sash broke weather seal and he quickly waddled off. Bummer.
