Minimum shooting pressure

You should not shoot lower than the regulated pressure, whatever that may be set at.

No damage will take place, but your feet per second will vary considerably. The regulator keeps the air pressure pushing the pellet at a consistent velocity. Shooting below the regulator setting simply means you will lose accuracy because each pellet will be flying at a different speed.

The only thing a regulator provides is consistency of velocity. That's a big deal in accuracy.

You can’t do damage unless the hammer hits the valve so hard that it causes it to bottom out and bend the stem. As for the minimum pressure your reg can be set at is entirely down to the make of gun and power you power you want to achieve.

Like hepotter said. You can go as low as you want. It won't damage your gun. If you go below the set reg you will get lower fps. That's it. No damage. No harm. As for the min reg pressure. Usually 1000 psi is min you want to go. But could go lower like 800-900 psi if you shooting .177 and want low fps for backyard plinking.
