military and first responders discount at SWFA???

Sightron used to give close to 50%, Athlon give discount I forgot the amount.
Here is correspondence I had last year with SWFA

We happily extend discounts to those in Law Enforcement and Military. Discounts vary based on margins and are not for fixed power scopes or kits. Please send all inquiries to [email protected] along with the stock number you are interested in from your agencies email and he will be happy to assist you. They are not valid on kits or fixed power scopes. If inactive please send in your DD214 omit the personal information and leave out your name, date of entry and date of exit.

one other thing most companies that give discounts have in their policy that if you don’t ke ep the amount confidential you will loose that privilege so be vague in what you say if you want to make purchase in future.

I've used the military discount with a few scope purchased and it a % off the list price. Some companies just have lower price but the % is different for every item and some items are not discounted at all. Best thing to do is to email companies for info on veterans discount. I have had to just send a copy of my veterans medical I'd card. I have also gotten a discount for being a certified NRA instructor.
From my experience they don't let you double dip with discounts. With the company's that give less than 40% you can sometimes negotiate a better price with vendor. I have also found the vendors will give a veteran discount it may only be free shipping but I still appreciate what ever they can do.
I will certainly check llmy records and get back to everyone on who I know who discounts and I will say OK for minimal discount good for a moderate and great for the great ones. I'm going to do it that way because vendors do not want the % to be public and as I've said they will not sell to you if they find you make it public. This is done to keep the vendors happy as they don't want to be competing with their retailers.
