Events Maybe 100 yard benchrest - 6 cards - at the N50 Nationals?

NRA Link: https://www.nrawc.org/events/items/national-50-benchrest-league-national-championship/

National 50 is considering adding a real 100 yard benchrest competition, Pellet only, 6 cards, during the Nationals. If enough competitors respond positive we will. We will order new 3' x 4' 25 bull targets soon and the typical stuff to prepare for the new added event. This means 4 match classes per day. 1) N50 Pellet, 2) Sportsman, 3) Pro, 4) 100 yard. Call it K100 or King of 100.

But, we need to know if you are interested as soon as possible. Making new K100 targets may be a challenge due to cost, schedule and national paper shortages. Rimfires will probably be allowed to shoot for fun & scored but will not be included in the 100y Pellet award.

Topic is covered in the following AGN link. Please respond and note if you are planning to attend on the linked thread:

Hey Lou,

Should enough participants indicate that they will attend and shoot the 100 yard event at the Nationals, do you foresee a way that "current N50 members" could order some of the new official 3' X 4' 100 yard cards if shooters want to practice at their local home 100 yard ranges? Just like we can do now with the 11" X 17" official N50 cards.

Might have to wait and see how many sign up, but I would be interested in ordering some official 100 yard cards with the newly sized bulls. I also think that others who can't physically attend Wittington, would like to order some of these targets for their practice at local home ranges. It sure would be a good way to practice 100 yard bench rest shooting with pellets, and with officially sized larger targets.

Today, I use the current EBR 8"X11" card stock 100 yard targets and I would much prefer using officially sized new N100 targets.

It's a shame there were not enough interested K100 participants, but with gas prices so high and travel distance issues, you guys made the right decision to not have the K100 event.

As an aside, I was looking at the 2021 YE summary aggregated N50 results ( there are many tables to sort through...); and it appears that there are quite a few who consistently shoot high scores in Sportsman/slug class with pellets ( and slugs). It would have been interesting to see some of these same shooters ( and other newcomers to the Nationals) and see how they would do at 100 yards with the new target sizing. I know there are other bench rest enthusiasts like me who would have enjoyed watching the results from the forthcoming Nationals from our keyboards.

Back to N50 -- I was pretty amazed at how the RAWs, Crowns, FX Impacts, Red Wolfs, etc. shot pellets score-wise. Based on what I observed, the rimfires in Sportsman's class and some of these high end air guns both did pretty well.
