May be goodby to hatsan flashpup and hello to new. Maybe Marauder?

I'd say go for it, then! I've got 2 hatsans now. A sortie, and a nova star. The sortie has required lots of care, and coercion/bribes in the form of new or custom parts to keep happy. The Nova star is too new to see what's what yet. But Ive heard entirely too much grief over the wishbone hammer debouncer. Looks like even if you can get the wishbone to hold up, the bushing/shaft it rides on ends up destroying the receiver 🤔🙈 IDK. I can't blame you for wanting something else, lol. And the marauders, all of them, have a great reputation and following.

I really like the idea of the flash and the ones who don’t have issues they are amazing. But with this being nunber to and this one developing more issues than the first only being 2 weeks it leaves a bad taste In my mouth for the flash pup. Now the normal flash’s an other hatsan snag not have the issues and with my luck it’s just the ones I got haha.

I also had a Bullboss as well as a Hatsan 135 that I couldn’t get rid of fast enough because of problems. The workmanship and materials is lacking with the Hatsans IMO. I have both the MROD and prod. It is such and easy platform to work on if needed or so desired. There’s a ton of support and aftermarket products available. Accuracy is good with the right pellets.

I dont know a lot about other brands I'm sure there are plenty good ones but I do own 3 FX rifles and have been and am still impressed every time I shoot them.

What all do you have.
I am looking at the FX Dreamline. High priced but love ther fact i can just buy a barrel to change calibers.

I was also looking at the new neutronstar but would need to only shoot slugs as several i have talked to state they do not like about any pellet shot thu them.

I started off looking into the field stream .22 marauder but i made the mistake of looking at higher end rifles.....

Are you a tinkerer? Strictly a shooter? A little of both?

I'm a tinkerer, so the Marauder is right up my alley.

My 2 Marauders are both fantastically accurate, reliable, very quiet, easy to work on with endless possibilities to build it the way you want it. Could do a complete tear-down and rebuild in about an hour. Albeit a bit on the heavy(er) side, there are many nice guns in the 8-10# range scoped. If you buy a Marauder at a fair price compared to an FX, there is potentially money left over to round out your system while tinkering.

Both of mine are .22. One is synthetic and the other is a F&T w/ LW barrel and regulated. Shooting either under 60 yards is not a challenge. 75-100+ is where it's fun.

I have an FX Dreamline Classic synthetic as well, in .25. I bought it used. I love it.

When I got the FX and shot it for the fist time I realize that what I was trying to build the Marauder into was... what FX had already done. My cost and time (not a problem) that I put into the Synrod with a Huma, Hill valve, LW hammer, PEEK, TP,... exceeded what I paid for my used Dreamline. Was lots of fun tuning and tweaking the Marauder and have learned a lot with the help of folks here as well as other forums.

Would I go for a Marauder today after having my FX? Not a chance. Will I have another FX? Yes.

I would also throw out a few other fantastic air rifles in the same "used" price range as an FX Dreamline. I have seen all of these advertised for under a $1000.

Daystate Huntsman, Daystate wolverine, AA S510, BSA R10, as well as those that others have mentioned.

Have fun in your search!

go for the dreamline in 25 and don't bother with the other rifles.i have two streamlines(22 and 25)and they are both super shooters.the 25 shoots the 25.39 JSBs at 850fps for 45 shots or tuned different to shoot the JSB 33.9 at 856fps for 30 shots.the 22 shoots great also.i wanting a dreamline in 25 but have to sell a couple of rifles first.there was a 25 streamline with walnut stock for sale here at AGN at a good price...

I am glad you mentioned the shots you get. I was curious about that or atleast a round about number.

I keep going back and forth on the .22 or .25 as well. Most of my shots here where 90 percent will be taken are id say withing 50-60 yards max. If i go to the hill more than likely i will take it for fun but have powder rifles for all that fun stuff there lol..

90 percent off all my shots will be taken on birds, squirrels, crows, and other small critters.
