I have a .22 Maverick Compact that seems to be having issues with the 2nd regulator. My reg is set at about 95 bar (HS at 7, shooting JSB 15.89 pellets, speeds were about 875-880 fps)and I wanted to change the settings on the HS to be able to shoot slightly heavier pellets (ie. 18.13 JSB and FX 22gr. hybrid slugs)at similar speeds or higher, while still keeping the 15.89's at about 885fps.

When I raised the pressure on the 2nd reg slightly to about 105-110, my speeds dropped, even after dry firing, etc. to settle the reg. Anyone have any ideas on what might be going on?

What's the 1st reg set at? My 22 Compact will do the same thing if you get within 25 bar difference. It likes a good 30 bar difference. Either that or you need to increase the 1st reg.

Crank your hammer spring counter clockwise till you can’t cock the gun then back up 1/2 turn. Check that you can cock the gun and that the safety works. Turn first reg to 135 start second reg to 90 and go up 5 bar at a time with your 22 gen’s fireing 4pr5 shots at a time When velocity drops back up to last pressure on 2nd reg this is the max for your gun without changing to a 25 cal hammer (13gram). From there adjust down to find the velocity’s with pellets
