Today I finally had a day off and decent weather to go ahead and tune the R5 after installing the Huma Regulator. I had initially installed it set at 120 bar but ended up adjusting it up to 125 bar to get velocities from the 840-900 range with small adjustments to the HST.
I tried the JSB 44.75 at 890 fps at 50 yards and my groups were averaging just under an inch. I knew this gun could do better so I decreased the velocity down to 850 to see what would happen.
I made a small video below of my 5 shot group at 50 yards using JSB 44.75g unsorted pellets. Basically under 1/2" groups at 50 yards if I do my part. Conditions were no wind and 70 degrees.
