Let's face it. The .30 caliber airguns are limited in regards to pellet choice. I posted a video earlier in the week with the R5 shooting a <1/2" group with the JSB 44.75 grain pellets. Since I use my R5 for hunting, I figured I'd give the polymags a try. I had already shot them out of the gun with the stock regulator and wasn't pleased with the group sizes past 30 yards. I was getting roughly a 1 inch group at 30 yards. I set them aside and in the meantime, replaced the regulator and fine tuned the velocity to my liking.
I figured I'd retry the Predator Polymags today at 50 yards. I wasn't expecting much considering that Polymags are not known for accuracy at longer ranges. Holdover was the same as the JSB 44.75 since they're the same weight. I shot a 5 shot group in the video below and was pleasantly surprised. Wind was light and variable - about 3-4 mph.
