:)

I've been a major advocate when it comes to FX stepping up their game in the power output department...check it off the list now because they've (mainly Ernest) have stepped up big time in achieving great power levels. Although the pressure used here isn't stated, nor is barrel length, which I assume to be around 160-170 bar / 700mm and obviously a 30 cal, but all that being said the numbers are still impressive and far better than what they were doing last year or the year before...cranking out WELL over 100 FPE and there is room to improve (heavier slug, slightly higher pressure)...with a 59 grain slug, and a small bump in pressure, you may see it break 125~ FPE in the high 900's...which is outstanding.

FX needs to step up there quality if anything.

Thanks all, the reg set at 150b with 30” 1-26 twist TJ barrel. you need a action that is capable of high FPE this way you can experiment with new Barrel design and projectile, shooting in the 800fps with .30 is old school and out right boring if you can shoot in the 1K+ and get the same accuracy so why shoot slow, mind you the 100m RMAC winner is shooting the 44gn near 1k and so many others in the finals. Now shooting slugs is gradually advancing with higher FPE making slugs vary accurate, with 48 and 60ng rat sniper slugs out to 250y with under 4” accuracy with 15-20mph winds. I wish you can shoot my HP impact it will give you a positive option in advancement.

FX is listening and improving the Quality.

making the impact more reliable;

1. Cocking and lever pin are larger

2. New rod are stronger to prevent threads stripping

3. Valve housing has fix valve seat

4. Probe pin set screw are going to be m4

and so many more!

FX is always trying to improve behind the seen.

Ernest, please ask FX to make us original Impact owners a larger plenum tube chamber that the original valve housing will screw into. (With the outside diameter around 25mm o.d., and inside having been bored out to enlarge that air volume respectively). I'm sure they could sell at least a dozen of them in the first week after manufacturing to the .25 and .30 owners who need more volume to accommodate the power mods we're doing.

Can you tell us when these upgraded parts will be available for purchase from FX USA ?

When can we buy your power kit ?

Thank you for your work and contributions.

I can’t get my MKII to shoot the 27gr NSA .22 slugs much faster than 920 FPS. I have room to go higher on my reg, but seem to run out of hammer spring tension.

With my HS tension maxed, my FPS actually decreases when I set my reg much higher than 145B.

You need a hammer weight to fully open the valve at a higher reg pressure

Thanks for the reply, Ernest.

This is probably a stupid question, but is that an aftermarket piece that I can purchase? If it is, is it something that a novice like myself could install?
