Maryland NEW Airgun Hunting Laws for 2017–2018

I live in Maryland(MD) but I don't hunt in MD. If I were going to plan on using an airgun where legal in Maryland for deer hunting, I would contact the persons in the field with jurisdiction for upholding the legal use of airguns where I intend to hunt. I think that is the Natural Resources Police(NRP) in MD. And I would talk to all officers I may meet in the field what they determine to be legal. And I would also get it in writing from the MD DNR Wildlife and Heritage Division(W&HD), Paul, are you still the W&HD Director? and NRP.
If all of that information is in agreement and I have it verbally stated and in writing, then I would go ahead and use my legal airgun.

It's already in writing as previously stated in this thread. Title 08, DNR, subtitle 03, chapter 04, page 05, Devices for hunting deer and black bear.

I guess it’s like the old saying goes. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. We are truly blessed to have good airgun hunting laws in Maryland that have been so well defined by the DNR. I don't know what it is that people don't understand. It's all pretty clear to me.

Hello, I am also in Maryland and just got my apprentice hunting license. I'm currently looking to purchase my first pcp to hunt. I am wondering if you would allow me to hunt on your property and maybe even teach me about hunting as I am new to all of this. Thanks for your time!

Brad (BG410), I don't own enough land myself but I would love to see a group from Maryland get together to hunt the WMA's or hunt together on a members private land. Congratulations on the apprentice license and good luck.
