I’ve finally had enough time to put together a review of my marmot militia barrel. It’s been a very busy summer for me putting this thing to the test. My .22 marauder is stock other than the barrel. I could not be more pleased with the results and would recommend it to anyone with a marauder.

Thanks for the testing and post. I am still contemplating doing this with my 1st gen .22. Trying to decide between that or try a new crossman barrel or 2 or 3 or?

I need to do the same, I contacted Jim Gaska @ MM, but no answer yet.  The (gen1) .22 MRod is a nice gun, but needs a better barrel!

What do those barrels cost and can you put the shroud back on after the switch?

Right now they are $205. Yes the shroud fits back on the rifle. I had the shroud off in the video to show off the barrel. I love this barrel so much because it is a drop in replacement. You use your shroud mounts from your old barrel and the new barrel is machined to take them perfectly. I had to do no modifications to my rifle whatsoever to accept the barrel. I had no other mods done to my rifle for the video.  This barrel does not make the rifle any louder, just way more accurate. I can’t complain about 1/2″ groups at 50 yards at all.

Thanks for the vid.  Jim just got back with my inquiry, $205 sounds a little higher than I had thought/heard, but if it makes it a shooter, its still worth it I’m sure.  I’m going to try to make this my next purchase to cure the lame duck Mrod I’ve got in the cabinet.
