Marauder Pressure Gauge

Suggestion to manufacturer. My gauge started reading a little high, no big deal. But now that its out of warranty it reads 400 psi high. I "Gauge" this based on the gauge on my tank from Joe B. In reading the forums etc., this is common. Do not put a junk-cheap gauge on your guns. I have a first Gen 25 cal. Marauder about a year and a half old. Other than the gun being HEAVY, I love it. The trigger is great!

Oh, one other minor gripe. The various openings cut into the air chamber for the pressure gauge, etc. should be relieved at the factory. The sharp edges kept cutting my o-rings until I figured out what the problem was and spent several hour with some 220 grit sandpaper and did the job myself.

Great job on the improvements to Gen 2 Marauders. Maybe offer a larger air supply for more shots per fill? A weaver rail for scope mounting would be nice.

When will we have a 30 cal. Mrod?

Thanks for making a PCP gun for the working man. Not everyone can afford FX, Daystate etc.

Fortunately Crosman has addressed the Gauge issues. They had two problems. They read a little or a lot over the real pressure and they were prone to leakage. There is a new gauge on the Production guns and they seem very consistent. It appears it is a different maker and/or toolingt. The guage face is different and the gauges seem to all be pretty close to what they are supposed to read.
They have even filled an order for several gauges so I could swap out problem ones. I didn't even have to beg. I'm sure they will take care of any problem gauges if you send them for replacement. Customers were not to happy that they had to fill wayu beyond what it said to get the proper amount. Airgunners can be pretty picky beasts but with HPA it is nice to know your gauge can be trusted.

Update. Just filled my 25 cal. with the Joe B. setup. Now reading 600 psi high and is useless. I found a replacement at McMaster Car but have not ordered yet. I am refilling every 2 mags. for now. It would be nice to look at the gauge on the gun and see if I can get a few more shots before returning to the tank for a fill.

Thanks for the info Timmy. Think I will give Crosman a call even though my gun is 6 months out of warranty.

2X Update: Thanks again Timmy. I called crosman and they agreed to send a replacement gauge as a one time deal even though the gun is 6 months out of warranty.

New gauge is spot on per my Joe B setup. Not leaking a bit.

Thanks to Chip and the Crosman people for sending me a replacement even though the gun was 6 months out of warranty. That's customer service. And, that's why I don't mind waiting for a Benjie bull pup similar to the new Wildcat.

Had a faulty One on my PRod after my fist fill . I only filled it to 2000 .Left it in the safe overnight and the meter read over 3000 it read 2000 on the meter after the fill.My bottle and Hill pump meter said the pressure was only 2000 so I shot it down but the meter was stuck in the red . Ordered a new meter and installed it ... Same thing again . This has also happened on my friends Mrod and the airguns were new out the box when this happened .
even though the gun was under warranty I opted to order and pay for the new meter myself as it is a mission to send stuff back to the supplier from NZ

i suppose you get what you pay for ... That said I installed a Robert Lane regulator and opted to install it without using the meter but letting the regulator breath via the hole where the meter fitted into the air tube ...It is still a great backyard pistol/carbine

The old meters make great targets.....
