Had some time this afternoon to get some shooting in with some different pellets I had ordered finally. It was really windy early on, but late this evening it finally died down and I was able to experiment a bit with some Air Arms Diabolo Field 16gr. The Marauder seemed to really like them. I was very happy with the results. I still haven't tested with the chrony yet. I will do that when I have a bit more idle time. But the rifle is getting really smooth and more consistent with more rounds down range. One thing that I learned is to not mess with the barrel shroud. Tightening and/or loosening can change POI. Tighten or loosen to where you want it and then don't mess with it anymore and all is fine. Below are some pics of some of the groups shot this afternoon.

These were all 5 shot groups at 45 yards. There were groups that were not this tight. But the rifle is becoming very consistent, to the point that this is indicative of the norm that can be expected from it. This week I have some JSB Exact Jumbo's 18.3 gr. that I plan on trying as well. I am a bit beside myself with surprise over how accurate this Marauder is. I'm kinda liking this PCP stuff.

    Thanks…..TR

Those are very nice groups for 45 yards. You remind me of myself when I first experienced the accuracy of PCPs, this after using Wally World break barrels.

Tiredrooster, glad you’re having fun. The accuracy will never get boring, I’m consistently in awe of my PCPs’ accuracy. When going after critters it makes a world of difference in my confidence and ability to make those one shot kills.

How will you be filling your new PCP?

I have a Benjamin Traveler compressor that I direct fill the rifle with. I didn't want to hand pump. I have filled with it probably 10-12 times so far, and so far so good…..does a fine job and fairly quickly as well.

It has the Lothar/Walther barrel. I have heard/read that the Crosman barrel is a very good barrel now as well. They supposedly have totally revamped and modernized their QC in order to produce high quality barrels. But I took the safe route and bought the LW. Kinda know the quality your getting that way ya know. If I ever get another, I would like to try the Crosman barrel though. I'm very pleased with the accuracy of this LW equipped FT.

Thanks a lot fellas. Yes this kind of accuracy definitely inspires a lot of confidence in the field for sure. This is just one of those rifles that will do it's part so long as you can do yours. Quite honestly, from what I have seen so far, it is capable of better accuracy than most shooters abilities. Maybe my own….LOL.  I don't know how it would compare to some of the "higher end" PCPs out there. Many of you guys do. This is my only and first. All I can say is that I am more than happy with it and am having a great time. This week I hope to hunt with it for the first time as well.

Those are some good groups. Really good groups. I know exactly what your feeling, as I felt it 2 years ago when I got my first pcp, a Marauder 25 cal.

Now you’re hooked. Before long, the quest for better will come, lol.

Yeah very true, I owned my Marauder FT .22 cal for a month now and looking at my 2nd purchase L.o.l..Very addicting and also very costly
