Had some time this afternoon to get some shooting in with some different pellets I had ordered finally. It was really windy early on, but late this evening it finally died down and I was able to experiment a bit with some Air Arms Diabolo Field 16gr. The Marauder seemed to really like them. I was very happy with the results. I still haven't tested with the chrony yet. I will do that when I have a bit more idle time. But the rifle is getting really smooth and more consistent with more rounds down range. One thing that I learned is to not mess with the barrel shroud. Tightening and/or loosening can change POI. Tighten or loosen to where you want it and then don't mess with it anymore and all is fine. Below are some pics of some of the groups shot this afternoon.
These were all 5 shot groups at 45 yards. There were groups that were not this tight. But the rifle is becoming very consistent, to the point that this is indicative of the norm that can be expected from it. This week I have some JSB Exact Jumbo's 18.3 gr. that I plan on trying as well. I am a bit beside myself with surprise over how accurate this Marauder is. I'm kinda liking this PCP stuff.
Thanks.....TR
