Man, I am just blown away with this Wildcat!

Holy what a rush, man. This has been a “finally saw it to believe it” with these FX guns. I’ve shot some decent groups out of my hatsan Bully in 30 cal and my Synrod in 25 cal, but not like this.

I picked up this 30 cal WC MK2 used last month, and haven’t gotten to shoot it at a target till this evening. I’m due for a good scope in about 3 months(birthday), but for now, I went to WM and put this $75 Centerpoint 4-16 x44 scope on it, just to see how the rifle shoots.

Set up at my ideal range of 35 yards, I started off by aiming at the top right target. The 3 tears at the bottom right target told me I needed to come up. 1 whole turn on the top turret nailed me at zero on the top right target, but about a 1/2” to the left. A few clicks on the windage turret put me too far to the right where I was just touching the right side of the bullseye, so two clicks to the left and I’m dead center.

i now aim for the top left target and filled that bullseye with 18 shots! Holy crap!

I air up to 3400 psi and finish off the evening with 8 shots to the lower left target:

This WC has to be the most accurate and deadliest pcp gun in my arsenal. With the Heavy Impact designed moderator, it’s so peaceful quiet. The loudest of sounds came from my pellet trap, when all the stacked pellets “drilled” a hole thru 1 1/2” thick duct seal and started slamming into the rear of the trap.

Man, I really love this gun. I am now an FX Believer, lol.

Ha! I always heard that term “boringly accurate” and could never relate, lol! That is, till now, except I’m not bored! I swore my Marauder, PRod, and Hatsan Hercules Bully were accurate, but there’s something about this FX, and I can’t pin it down yet, that makes it stand up above the rest. I think one of them is that I don’t get fliers, at all. But another thing dawned on me, and maybe you all that wash pellets can validate this.

This last xmas, my wife ordered 4 tins of pellets thru Amazon, the ones I like, the Vortex 44.75 grainers. The combination of Amazons poor pellet packaging, the rainy weather, and how the postman delivered them left me with all four tins opened in a wet, soggy box. So, I took all that was left in the box(some where lost of course, and amazon made it good and resent me another four tins) and washed them all(first time washing pellets) with a light solution of cleaner degreaser, dried them, and shot a light coat of FP10 after they were laid back in tins. I labeled the tins to show that they were a washed batch, to see if it made a difference. Of course, this was way long ago before I took ownership of the WC. So, up till yesterday, every pellet I’ve shot thru my PCP’s have only been lubed with FP10, never washed.

So, today, after I run the WC thru the chronograph to see how it’s performing, I’m going to try these washed pellets on my Bully, to see if the groupings changed. The bully is already sighted in for 35-40 yards, and what I’m going to be looking for are fliers. I constitute a flier that makes it out of the group, even the slightest bit. If a shot doesn’t touch the previous hole, it’s a flier, unless I error’d and pulled or something.

Here are previous pics of targets by my Maruder, my PRod, and the WC, and I don’t know if you all will see it, but I can just tell the groupings are different. The only target reflecting washed pellets are of yesterday’s outing with the Wildcat. Either I’m having a “Eureka” moment, or I’m just kidding myself simply for the hard fact that the FX will shoot this accurate, wether washed or not. I don’t know.

These FX guns will shoot!

here is my best @ 100 yards. Most groups average for me are @ 1-1.3”, nearly every attempt. A few will squeak under an inch and there are those real joyous times when they get in the <.75” range. Those are exciting times!

second picture is a fill on high power. 5 shots at each dot at 50 yards for 55 shots. This shows a good record of what the gun will do consistently.
