Making the Dreamtac Compact work with plenum extension

Took a day of work but it’s done. It’s even quieter with the barrel moved back one inch in the shroud. Some pics in case someone wants to copy.

How is the accuracy? Since the superlight barrel shroud is responsible for aligning the barrel liner point of impact with the breech. Which parts of the threaded areas screw down tight against anything?

Not quite sure what you are getting at. Everything just goes back together like it should. They key is the extension piece I made has to be an exact duplicate of the barrel attachment connector on one end and an exact duplicate of the factory shroud connector on the other end. It actually makes the barrel more ridged because one inch more of the liner is encapsulated and one inch less is out vibrating.

Is that a 220cc or a 300 cc bottle from best bottle?

In the picture I have a 220 on the gun. I also have a 300 that I can use with this barrel but the gun starts looking a little pontoon boat. I also chopped a standard Dreamline barrel down to the minimum length to achieve 880fps with 18.1gr pellets. That story is in my removing the "smooth" topic. I can use my 480 bottle on it. I will be modifying the shroud so the 480 won't work then. The 300 looked fine before the plenum extension. I think the compact is an excellent gun and they are very honest how they advertised it. Not once did I here it referred to as a long range powerhouse. Mine loved 16gr pellets as long as I didn't lean on the gun for that last 15fps. My gun with a stock Dreamline 500mm barrel was super fast with 18.1's. That's when I knew FX missed my personal mark only by a tiny bit. So I FXed it. My gun as pictured will shoot 18.1's 860fps with the hammer set on 3. I can slide my chopped Dreamline barrel on and shoot them 881fps with the HS still set on 3. I don't believe my gun got any bigger than the .25 compact so I didn't loose what makes the gun so nice. Sorry if I got long winded there.
