capacity. This mag has been difficult for me since new and is now not working at all. I know it’s related to the spring but I can’t figure out what’s wrong. The inner wheel is binding and not rotating I have it apart and will post pictures. There is an O ring shown and I’m not certain that was “in” this mag assemble or was just on my work table. Helpful hints appreciated The spring catches on the bottom plate but I don’t see a similar point in the part that holds the pellets which it would seem to me to be necessary so that the spring can be wound to cause it to be affective in rotating the mag to function .

I see you got the spring figured out! I haven't had my Sideshot magazine apart yet so I don't know if the screw tensions up the rotating assembly or not, but on my stock magazine it did. So I took it apart and cleaned everything of grease so it didn't attract dirt, then greased just the o-ring where everything rides on, and used low strength (purple) Loctite to set the screw tension so it turned snug but smooth. Then let the thread locker cure overnight. Prior to this the rotation tightened and loosened up the screw. I hope that this helps.

I think I have it sorted. The O ring goes in the back ahead of the nut? Into the hole the nut goes . That’s seems the only option that I could see for it. It seems to be a balance between the spring and the pressure on the retaining screw and nut which has to be correct for the magazine to function accurately. Sound right ? To late to shoot the gun but pushing the pellets thru the mag and it seems to function correctly now . Seems simple once you figure it out but until then it challenged me a little

I had one of my Crown mags apart due to some slight sticking on the last two rounds.

Cleaned it up and lightly lubed. If I remember right the bottom had 4 notches so you can adjust spring pressure by a 1/4 turn. I tried to set it fairly light so as not to put extra stress on the pellets. I believe it was 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 turns of preload. But again that was for a Crown mag.

hobbiest - Is right on with the loctite. When the screw tension was set just right flipping the lever to remove the cover would cause the screw to turn and lose adjustment. I let mine sit and cure overnight and it’s been working great. All in all they are pretty easy to work on. You are right the torque on that screw makes or breaks the function.
