Maestro Scorpion Adjustable FT Hook

This is what I had on my FX400 FT rig las Sunday at the CT State match. It's pretty durable but keep in mind it is all plastic (3D printed parts). Very adjustable as sections can be angled, added and removed to suit your likings. There are some nice metal hooks out there that are just as adjustable but I'm sure they are more $. The scorpion hook comes with a baseplate that gets screwed to your butt stock. The main part then slides up and down on this base to you preferred position and then two knobs to tighten it in place. Makes it nice to pop off and on to fit my rig into a hard case for travel.

Personally had poor luck with PRINTED parts that get screwed together. The plastic yields to the screw tension pressure and they will come loose over and over again.

Compound that with length which is LEVERAGE on tension points ... good luck.

I have one on a FT rifle and have had good luck with. It travels well as you can slide it off and if you buy extra bases it can quickly be used on multiple rifles. 

I have one and have mounted it on a couple guns. It works well, seems sturdy. The only problem I see is it increases the length of pull quite a bit

For what it’s worth, I have one of Brian Samson’s 3D printed hooks which is a less elaborate design than the maestro and have to tighten it up regularly
