Made some .25cal slugs today

I bought lead wire from Corbin's and GMI dies to make slugs. These are the 34gr die slugs with the pellet base and the dimple and hollow point punches. The pellet base brings the weight down to 29gr on my scale. I also have a flat base punch and a 28gr die. Pictured next to a FX Hybrid slug.

When I tune my FX Impact MKII to shoot these I will post a review.

Thanks for the tip on Rotometals.

Went out today to do some testing at 50 yards. I came to 2 different conclusions:

1 - the slugs I made seem to shoot better at the lower velocities so a slug liner may be on order (if my thought process is correct).

2 - I'm not a very good shot with a bull pup rifle.

Last 2 groups of the day. Monster Wheel on #11. 100 bar tune.

edit to add...I went over my scribbled notes and the velocity on the home made slugs should be about 915-918 on #11. they are 29gr and the FX Hybrid is 26gr. It wasn't a calm day either so maybe the groups could tighten up a bit.
